I was wondering where everyone is buying their bearings. I need the 6202 C3 and 6203 C3 bearings and a lot of them. I was given some SKF 6203 2rs bearings and I was wondering if I could pop out the rubber seal on one side and use it on the clutch side of my 385s. If not I can pop out both sides and use them on the flywheel side. Husky gets a lot of money for that sealed bearing. I think $34

Pretty sure you can pop the seals out and use them. Do a search for those bearings here on AS and you'll find some good info. Ebay has some sellers who let them go for good prices. Ive also seen some bulk deals on there. Don't be afraid to go with another bearing company other than SKF. Plenty of companies make a 6203 bearing. I recently bought some "AM" 6203 bearings stamped with tpi on them. little research would show TPI is a reputable bearing company out of Taiwan

I bought 10 6202 Nachi bearings for $44 delivered.

You can remove the seals. I've never tried leaving one in to replace the OEM seal. I've never read about anyone trying it either. I'm guessing the seals aren't rated for the heat a saw makes, but who knows. If you try it make sure and report back.

If the bearing seal is left on the outer side and the crank seal is used the seal gets no oil to lube it.

The SKF plastic or telflon cage bearings are good,6202, 6302,much better than bearings with the old metal cage. When you order them they will usually come with a seal on each side of the bearing, where as your stock bearing had none. Just pop both out with the tip of a knife, you do not want any seals in the bearings. They live on the oil lube from fuel and oil pouring thru the motor.
These SKF bearings are a huge improvement on early 362/372 motors.
These are bearings, not seals. the same size SKF seals with double lips can be ordered and are good.
