036 carb

I just rebuilt the carb on my 036 (zama) she will pop and start after 3 pull,but it will only stay running if I keep reving it up,take my hand off trigger and she dies, screws are 1 turn out,what to look for?? thanks

Did you clean the carburetor properly? Is the metering lever adjusted correctly? The screen is clean too?

pop the welch plug out.

Check idle adjustment screw. Might be too far out

I clean it well ,all ports with carb cleaner,changed screen all gaskets ect

i have same problem with a rebuilt 044, my plan is to order new carb and see how that works out

just got her going,just a matter of setting the H_L right,love the 036!
