My Makita 6100 is German made. It's strong to say the least and it's not as heavy in the hands as the specs would suggest. Best saw I've used for blocking firewood up.

I have a Dolmar 6100. It is definitely made in Germany and is a beast for a 60cc saw. I am a Husqvarna guy too but I really like my Dolmar. Go for it. I promise you won't be disappointed. It has the spring assist starter. I saw a video of a 6 year old girl starting one. It's that easy.This 6100 I'm looking at is the EA model 6100P, so I guess that's the Chinese made one.
