Nice saws! And I know they are too.
I have a couple of axes miself but I haven't played them for... many years. 10,15 or 20. I cant remember, but I was in to all the great music of 68 to 73 when I started.

I'm just starting out. Going to convert those to 4-string to make it easier to play chords.

I was thinkin ukulele or tenor guitar. But maybe the Harmony electric could be a tiny bass. Maybe they both could.

Ahhh... you just start with what ever you want to and it will shape itself in to what ever you are supposed to do.

I see the Husky 42 next to a Dolmar but is that a 5105 or a 4300? The 42 looks tiny in comparison- just curious if it’s next to a 421?

6100 right there. I did have a 420sc. Contemplating a new ea4300 over here soon though.

If/when you ever get them together, you need to do a side by side Photoshoot comparison for us.

i prefer strong running classic saws 66cc and up
they have character
and i have hundreds of hour's on them
i know what they'll do.

I didn't feel quite at home in the "you suck" thread with this, I didn't buy a truck load of used saws for virtually nothing

I ended up with this saw after reading these pages for some time, it will be my main saw for the rest of my life...

This is how I do the 5105 cat mufflers. Just remove the whole cat plate.
Belt sander or heat and open up the crimp.

You can see the spot welds drilled on the one on the left. The whole plate with the cat comes out after that.

Without the plate the opening is plenty big enough, the nuts for the bolts that hold the deflector have to be tacked back on and the now empty can has to be heated and re-crimped or welded back together.

My Brother Play's/Tours for a living, was endorsed by Ibanez, however, he started to build his own 7 Strings .. Swamp Ash, I believe?

Very tolerable if you don't open it up anymore. I had a ported 5100s with dual ports for a minute. Now THAT one was obnoxious. I like the way I do it much better.
