I was wanting to put the carburetor from my buddies 450 limited edition on my 346xp 2011 model. The 450 is 2019 brand new. Anyone think this would work? The carb in my 346 is messin up anyway.

I think it would be a lot easier to just get a kit and rebuild the 346 carb.
What problem are you trying to solve, exactly?

The 450 is a strato design isn't it? It's been a minute since I've been in one. The carb venturi should be pretty tiny. It's meant to send a very rich mixture that's leaned out from the strato charge. If it's what I remember you won't get a 346 to run with that. Your best bet is going to be a rebuild kit for your existing carb. Next best would be a want ad for a good carb.

If you want a bigger carb for your 346 find an HDA-199 from a 359 or 357xp. That won't make it run any better stock but hey, at least it'll be "bitchin".
My experience has been that the surest way to make a saw bitchin’ is to put time in on the chain. A fast chain is a beautiful thing. I’ll take that over horsepower and noise any day!

The 450 carb ain't ********. Put a 357/359 carb on it. Some say it's not noticable, but it is a minor bump in perforance.
