FYI if you are looking for the XPW dogs, I bought them from firedog.com for $8.93... 537043701 OEM kit with all hardware, roller, etc. My new go-to site for OEM parts.

Finally finished up this project saw that I bought not running – was absolutely filthy. Completely stripped it down and ordered a bunch of OEM parts. Have the XPW dog kit for it that I have not put on yet.

Very nice!:)

Thanks for the tip.

Looking for bigger spikes on the 390

Good deal on the dogs, how much did you pay for the cover, would have looked good with an xpw orange one. That being said for like 30 you can get the dogs, a large grey cover like yours and a 572 wrap handle.
The 576 sure is a smooth saw, nice job.
I thought so too for the dog kit, even buying just the individual outer dog was $18.

The original cover was pretty bent, and cracked around the bar nuts. I took a gamble from a 576 Autotune IPL on a partial assy, couldn't find ANY info or photos for the part number though.
537033505 (537 03 35-05) was only $24.72! What a deal for made in Sweden cast magnesium, just what I needed, came with everything except the tensioner parts which I already had from the broken cover. Added photos below incase anyone else needs one.

I agree an orange cover would look good... what saw would that come from so I can check the IPL? 372 maybe? I am seeing the full assembly for $43.
Edit: Think I found it... 372xp full assembly 37033501 $42.75, but partial assembly 537033571 for $29.97. Dang... already opened and installed the gray one!!

$30 kit with dogs, cover and wrap handle... I would have gone for it... what is the part number?

Not sure on the part number, but it is a great deal, its the West Coast kit for tye 572. The 572 cover also fits but its grey, I like the captive nuts on it though.
The xpw cover is the wide orange cover and the standard 372 cover is the other orange.
Here's the xpw cover on my 572 and the 572 cover on the xpw, sure would like an orange wide cover with the captive nuts.

I'm only seeing wide covers in orange and silver so I'm glad that is what I have vs a standard cover. I agree the captive nuts on the new saws are nice.

Found it for 572, Husqvarna 579504001 FRONT HANDLE ASSY KIT WRAP STA. Wow I can't believe how inexpensive that is, practically giving them away. Actually I see the 372 kit is also about $32. Found a 576xp specific part number - 588846201 576XP WRAP KIT.
Ok it looks like Husky offers full wrap kits for about $30 across the board, pretty cool. Doing more reading...

Does the wrap handle only work on specific saws? I looked at the bottom of my 576 and don't see anywhere for the 3rd screw in the wrap around part of the handle to screw in to.

The wrap handles will fit any saw they are made for.

They are very inexpensive, I like how husky did that.
I had a 576 wrap setup before the standard handle version I have now.
I like the wide covers, sure would like them to come out with a wide cover with the captive nuts .

Here’s what my last saw I bought new looked like when it was new. It looks a little different now after running it from May through October....

Before you ask, it’s sitting on a very clean Ridgid gang box before it ever got pushed around with a fork, picked up with some chains hanging off the hoe bucket or used as a work bench on site. I like orange, but I can’t bring myself to paint a bench, especially not orange.

Clutch Cover, sporting on the 572 Looks Good. … functionality, & no captive aside!? … Nice battery overall!

Mr. Ritola's "Pro Safety's" I do like. … However, god ****, do not stab yourself. They will put a hole in the bed liner of a Pick Up if not secured & Punch through a gas can!

Put a board across your bed and cut some slots in it for the bars.

I like the look too, as well as the wide cover, maybe we can get something going for the nuts.
Thanks.
Ran one tank maybe? … Regretfully sold it for $550 … Ran a 28 really well, imo?View attachment 780804
Ran a 28 well in what, certainly not hardwood , unless it was modded well.

Brought a couple up to get pictures, someone is ready for a new saw.
Not new to me, but they will be to someone , or not, either way I'm good!
