The whole patent and intellectual property theft perpetuated by China, to me, is pretty much a common sense thing. Why you or anyone else can't understand it is beyond me. WTF do you think part of the "trade war" is all about ferchrissakes??!?!??

You mis-representing the junk you're selling to people who don't know what they're actually buying and me helping someone get in on a group buy for something that (hopefully) the person knows full well the pile of crap they're buying. Apple vs. orange. Make sense?
You have obviously never read the description of any single one of the saws that I have sold to any single person. Every single description has said that they are aftermarket kits, and not OEM saws. Not one single person who has bought one from me has been mislead by me. And why is it wrong for someone to purchase one from me that I bought and assembled, but ok for someone to purchase one that is already assembled from the very same factory... Sounds like sliced apples vs apples to me? So do you frown on the guys who buy kits and assemble the kits themselves? Or is it just the idea that there are some guys who actually do misrepresent them, and you just have a burr in your panties about it and are just lumping me into the same category, without knowing a fuggin thing about me? I am one of the most honest, square dealing guys you would ever meet. I have even talked guys out of buying saws from me because they were unsure. I encourage people who are unsure to do their own research and make their own decision to purchase one. You have me mixed up man, and I don't get why. I provide my personal cell phone number to every single one of my customers, and have always assisted, fixed, or paid for any single problem that has ever happened with any saw I have sold. For you to call me a liar and a cheat burns in my soul like you can't imagine, and it is completely unnecessary since I have never had any dealing with you in any fasion whatsoever.

Here is a story about a situation that happened with one of my saws..... A guy from Utah bought one and a guy from Tennessee bought one. I live in Iowa. Utah called me and said his saw broke, he had a job lined up for the following week with a crane already rented. I told him I would do whatever it takes to get him a saw. I hung up the phone and called Tennessee. Told him the situation and asked if he was willing to help me out of a jamb and he was happy to. Long story short, Tennessee took his saw to ups that day and I paid for two day delivery from Tennessee to utah. Utah sent his saw to me and I fixed it and sent it along with a 2nd saw to Tennessee. The saw that was "broke" had a screw jammed in the flywheel and his employee broke the pull rope, then told him that the Piston had seized. At any rate, all of this was paid for by me. And none of it could have possibly happened without my customers having faith in me. Do you honestly think that those two who have never met me let alone each other would have done this if there was any sort of doubt about my integrity? The saw arrived in Utah the day before the big job, and he called me to tell me it ran flawlessly, and the job got done, thanks to everyone involved.

lol, wow.

Someone shows up to a professional job site with one of those things, especially one where they have rented a crane, and they're going home. Sorry, if you can't buy quality equipment, no way am I going to pay you to lift large chunks of wood over my property. I wouldn't even rely on them myself and I only cut trees as a side job.

Smh...no way am I going to put my livelihood on the line for a couple hundred bucks difference between a junk Chinese copy and the real deal. You know what I do if my new Stihl has a problem like that? I go to the dealer down the street and they either fix it immediately, or I get a loaner.

Calling some guy and getting a saw shipped from some random guy across the country? I'm baffled...

A bit presumptuous and judgemental, don't you think. It's not as if he showed up to this job with a hammer and a hacksaw. He is a highly skilled/capable man who showed up to a tree removal job with a crew of highly skilled/capable men with all kinds of name brand equipment, from the heavy equipment down to the harnesses. For you to suggest he should be fired for showing up with "one of those" saws is ridiculous. Furthermore, the story you read was not about the customer, it was about the supplier taking care of the customer... Which is the exact kind of service you said you would demand of your supplier. All said and done, a guy bought a tool and the tool failed. The customer contacted the supplier and told the supplier about the problem. The supplier provided a solution. This story was told in direct response to being called dishonest and deceptive by someone who has never and will never do business with me. If the only thing that you took from that story is that the guy doing a job should be fired for showing up "with one of those" to do that job then you need to address your own intelligence... I mean seriously, should a homeowner fire you for showing up to a job with a "loaner". "If you can't afford good equipment" ... right?

I'm not suggesting he should be fired. I'm telling you that I would fire him. If you don't take your job seriously enough to buy quality equipment, then I don't want you doing a potentially life threatening job on my property. Period. If you feel that's ridiculous, that's fine. If you want OK contractors working on your property, be my guest. I won't.

I'm glad you solved his problem. I'm glad he was happy with the solution you provided. I would not have been happy with that solution(as I explained in the last sentence of my reply). I understand that being a remote builder this was the best of your options. This is exactly why I don't rely on saws like this from guys like you to run a business with. As a toy? Sure, why not. But as a money making piece of equipment. No way in hell.

Maybe I would be fired for bringing a loaner to a job site. I wouldn't know...it's never happened, but I know it's available. I have back up saws anyway...no one single saw breakdown would force me to go get a loaner. Two is one, one is none. Again...I put pride into my work and do my best to not allow equipment break downs to cause delays for my customers.

The fact that this guy had no back up for that particular saw and he was relying on that saw for a job he had a lot of money invested in, shows me he (at the very least) has piss poor planning. I don't care how 'highly skilled' he tells you he is.

Finally: I have no problem with you selling these saws. None what-so-ever. I'm proud of you for finding a niche market need and filling it. I know there are guys out there that want these saws; I'm not one of them. I don't think they're professional quality and I wouldn't even rely on them for firewood work personally. I have a moral problem with Chinese companies stealing the work of legitimate companies and I won't personally support that(I know you dispute that is what's happening here). I feel it should be illegal to import stuff like that to the US, however it's not, so have at it! Build them and sell them for profit, it's the American dream! That's not sarcasm. I mean it. This is why I didn't jump into this thread until it was well off the rails anyway.

I think the heat noodleman is copping over these saws is more to do with the hatred patriotic folks have for the way China conducts itself on the world stage. They are outright dodgy in many ways, have little to no respect for intellectual property. They copy things plain and simple and are pretty good at it. If noodle is doing honest business with folks & I don't believe we have any evidence to the contrary I think he deserves to be left alone to build kit saws. He's not forcing anyone to buy them and I don't believe is misleading members, he ain't **** in my wheaties. There is a place for kit saws in the saw world, perhaps not in the hands of logging crews or arborists, but its a free country you can take a hand saw to work if that's what you choose.

It started out there and I got murdered by a bunch of people who thought I was out to destroy the economy and rip everybody off.

According to this post, the ms660 was in production from 2004-2014.

That's what you get for believing what you read on the internet...

Farmertech's youtube channels says their equipment is of the highest very quality too...
So I shouldn't believe the information on arboristsite?? If that information is incorrect, take it up with the guy who posted it.
