what pitch are you looking for? I spent months tracking down some 404 pitch in 058 gauge, but it seemed like 3/8 pitch in 058 gauge was easy to find.

The .325” and 3/8” seems more available in .058”. Im changing a few bigger cc saws to .404”-.063”. Theres some 3/8”- .050” gauge still kicking around. Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t the Stihl chainsaws running .325 & 3/8” in .063” chain? I think my newer husky saws came with 3/8”-.058” chains.

It's regional, but around here, the ONLY saws you see coming from the store with .058 are Husqvarna (actually, I have no idea what's on the poulans, etc from the box stores). Stihl would prefer you to buy your 3/8 in .050, and .325 in .063. They'll happily sell you a 36" bar in 3/8 .050, which seems like a bad idea on any of their saws, which aren't known to oil that great to begin with.

Edited to add: you can get Stihl 3/8 and .325 in any of the three gauges, but they might have to order it, or rather, be convinced that they can order it.

I just can't find it anywhere.
I have Oregon #21 chain, .058 - 1/2". It was manufactured several years ago. It was made for some of the smaller saws . I was aboput the same as the #58 chain also made at that time. I have about 600 drives of that chain left. This is probably listed in Oregons books in the 70 or 80 years. [email protected]

In the past I purchased what ever brand of saw chain was on sale at baileys. Mostly 3/8-.050” LP. Not too many sales or clearances and deals offered today.

Time to look for .058” chain. I think huztl/farmtec offers loops and bar combos for husky saws in .058”.

I have some 3/8” .058” chain loops in house. I need to buy some 3/8”-.058” reels next. I have one 25’ 3/8” 72LP .050” left from three decades ago. I have about 250’ of 404-063” chain.

LP stands for low profile. 3/8lp is the size below .325.
