Wow. Awesome! Thanks boys! I really like the yellow tank over the all black one that I have. Is the yellow newer/ older than the black tank? Did they make them at the same time? Thanks for the pics. That rear decal was not what I was expecting after seeing the T.A.B.B. decal. It is greatly appreciated though. Thanks for taking the time. Clean saw by the way!

2 on shelf now. 1 yellow tank and 1 black tank. Yellow tank one has broken case half pto side. The black one was runner test saw I tore down for parts for 2 guys.

I sold all my NOS and used topend kits for them. Got out of the 60cc ones. Only 1 NOS piston kit left.
2 on left was NOS. Had 2-3 used sets too.

That 380 thread link shows about 50/50 it seems on both.

Lil Red Barn 3400 piston. Wasn't chrome plated like it should have been, just polished aluminum. Took out my cylinder I had gotten for it also, I was pi $^t.

Someone said I had straight gassed it, funny how my others saws were running the same mix. I took a piece of steel wool and it would scratch the finish that didn't get damaged. Took my old piston and couldn't scratch the chrome on it. I'll never buy a lil red barn anything. Was looking for a piston for my nephews echo, they were the only ones that had it, I passed and the saw is still sitting in a box after a year. Will keep sitting til I find one.

Just a little info on the 4000 cylinder and piston. I put my name in on getting a 4000 and was accepted to try out a 4000 cylinder and piston set. It's on the way and I'm excited to be able to work with it and help make this happen. I'm going to do as much as I can to make this work and get some good test data. I think this is the start of some great things for Poulan saws and making parts available.

@Todd Loosli did you "blue" that 8500 spike after you repaired it? Or how did you get it to look like new again?
Svk after I welded the dawg and cleaned up the weld I heated it up to stress relieve it and did a little tempering by cooling it in oil and rubbing it with fine steel wool repeated that 3 times

Well I probably should show you guys my 1st green colored green chainsaw I've had it and a real dog of a 3400 for around a week but haven't had a chance to have a look at her well anyway it's got spark and a great looking and feeling piston.

Here it is after a quick rag over 20200116_211218.jpg 20200116_211229.jpg 20200116_211249.jpg
Will get at it more tomorrow hopefully or the weekend. I've got a 16 inch and full chisel chain lined up for it. If you guys had bigger saws for longer bars would a 16 be nice for a 3400?

Hey JJ how do I see the pics on that site of yours?

I'm real excited about these cylinders.

Another question... the little red barn 4000 piston is anyone having luck with them? I know poor Stevo had a bad experience with the 3400 piston

Hey Guys!

This is Chris Thieroff and I'm the guy developing these cylinders.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Just to be clear, we are developing our own piston for these and are only using the LRB for testing purposes because our piston is still in development.
