No, not for a MS 362. The part number on the picture of "PV Hiker" is no real part no. Part no.`s are always in the IPL. That new MS 261 sprocket cover has part no. 1140 640 1704. The new MS 362 sprocket cover is 1140 640 1703.
My IPL has a different # for the 261c-m.:omg: See #10

EDIT. Just looked up the # showing in my IPL and it comes up a cover for a 271,291,311. :wtf: No wonder people get confused.

Part numbers often change over time and your IPL is likely some years old. Again, numbers on the part itself are often not the real part no. I `ve seen that 1000 times. The real part no. is always in the IPL. The numbers I`ve posted are valid for the new covers.

Ok so the pics I find of both part numbers have the same cast/cover internal part numbers... For the ones I can find online 1140 648 0461... Are you sure the chip deflector just isn't different or something like that and the cover itself isn't identical....

Here are the internal pics of the 362 and 261 v2 covers I can find online... Look the same minus the chip deflector to me.

Does Still create a part number that is "x" but that part includes several different parts together. So is just the cover is what shows on the part but also the "x" number includes cover, nylon chain tabs, chip catcher and bar nuts?

Here is a image of the whole cover to compare.

Just got this updated IPL from our friend @ray benson' In answer to your question, yes. if you order the cover you get tabs, chip catcher and nuts. Those parts do have their own #'s though if you need to but them seperately. Let me know if you can't see this new IPL.
