So I thought this was a black walnut before it was cut down
It was hard to tell with no foliage so I just went off bark. I included a pic of some bark from the mystery tree next to bark of some black walnut. Mystery trees bark is like an orange/yellow/brown combo
After it was cut I could tell it obviously wasn’t bw. Anyone have any guesses? I live in New York

Started googling all of your suggestions and I have to agree with the polar. Went back to the site today and found some poplar leaves on the ground. Thanks for all you guys guidance
Now I have to decide whether it’s worth milling or just leave it there
