Despite my best efforts, some crud got into the crank case while the jug and piston were off. Best way flush that crank??

Hope all is well.

Myself I use diesel fuel. Fill crankcase, spin crank many times, dump into pail, repeat many times until I am confident the bottom end is clean.

Be prepared for a mess if you follow my instructions lol.

edit: and don't forget to lube the bearings when you are done!

We flush the crankcase in the parts washer to wash out the chips from the gernaded piston. If it’s that bad we split the case. Minor seizing we just wash it.
