We had a 5hp diesel at school. It was fairly easy to pull start (at room temp), but it musta weighed 100lbs!Detroit Diesel is a two stroke engine. Scale it down?

I’m thinking a 10,000 watt generator / welder combo, diesel tractor, two 275 gallon oil tanks. Part of my survival plan?
Interesting article. I had a friend with a two cylinder John Deere I think it was an A model that used kerosene but just with a spark plug once warmed up.
I thought RC cars used a nitromethane/alcohol mix? I've never heard of diesel in one. They do use oil in the fuel for lube as they are a 2 stroke.RC cars use a type of diesel, I don’t see why It couldn’t be applied to chainsaws...
There is slightly less potential energy in diesel but it is denser which I think makes it slightly more powerful as fuel source
I said a “type”, What I was trying to say is that it runs off of the same principle, glow plugs and compression.I thought RC cars used a nitromethane/alcohol mix? I've never heard of diesel in one. They do use oil in the fuel for lube as they are a 2 stroke.
i had some rc diesel aero engines, no glowplug but a thumbscrew on the top to lower the cyl sleeve and raise the compression,I thought RC cars used a nitromethane/alcohol mix? I've never heard of diesel in one. They do use oil in the fuel for lube as they are a 2 stroke.
