Stihl 056 Magnum II - need a piston

Ive never used parts from that supplier but i looked at them as well, i suppose an OEM will be rarer then hens teeth. Im terrified to risk a good OEM cylinder with a chinese slug though.. anyone use them before?

If you believe the cylinder is ok the piston may well be savable?....I think you'd get better results by starting a new thread and if your piston is shot, place an ad in the trading post.

Heres som pics of the piston and cylinder. Its tough to catch on my phone, the piston doesmt have any gouges or transfer that i can see. The piston has some decent gouges in it though so maybe the exhaust side of the cylinder isnt as happy as i thought, either way the transfer isnt to bad i dont think. Either way im assuming the cylinder can be saved with some light honing.

Its sad because shes in good shape, she needs to be redone!
