My milling saw is “massaged” and the technician suggest 40:1 so I go with 40:1.

By the measurement, it’s very little oil “extra” compared to 50:1.
I don’t notice more smoke or exhaust grime.... but do feel maybe better protected.
I’ve run 36:1 last summer and did notice extra smoke. (Added 1oz oil to some 50:1 motomix I was given).

Mine is also a 3120xp .
If you have not yet done so, widen the exhaust exit a bit under the deflector to allow better cooling.. it makes a difference.
My main bar is 36” for milling...I’ve run everything from 20” bucking to 62” milling and stumping... these saws are beasts and can do it all.
Amazing oiler. Keeps up with 62 for stumping at the highflow position.:numberone:

Cheers
