Can anyone tell me more about this tag. My late dads old saw. It's a 362xp special and it's really dirty but well taken care of. I want to fix it up with only oem parts.

Thanks for the info everyone. If it turns out it needs a new piston and cylinder can I turn it into a 372xp?

That's awesome. My 572xp clutch cover fits it perfectly. Is it worth putting a 372 piston and cylinder on it or should I leave it stock?

Its gonna get a new 20 inch cannon superbar unless somebody else on here has something better. Let me know.

Same 4.8 hp as 365, but turns higher RPM. 47mm vs 48mm on 365 vs 372 50mm 5.4 hp. If you rebuilt it,keep it OEM. 2005, wk 43, 317th saw that week. Do you have a ballpark compression reading?

I'll keep it oem with the 362 cylinder and piston. I have no compression reading today but I'll get one. Is this a rare saw? I like cannon, Sugihara, and tsumara bars. I think they are the best.

Those three are all very good. The pricing on tsumura bars makes it pretty tough to buy anything else really. That's been my experience anyway. I'd love to have a lightweight Cannon maybe in 32" and a regular superbar in 20", but so far the price difference has kept me buying tsumuras.

Not a rare saw, actually least desired of that series. But that does not mean much, they cut well. Just rebuilt one and it runs very nice. As Ryan said on Cannon bars, have a 20" super on a 562 and a 24" on a 372, they wear forever. Would like to try a lightweight Cannon someday, if my others wear out.

This saw needs a 20 inch bar. It previously had an 18. I like a 20 inch for all around use on a 362. Bigger wood will make me use my 390xp with my 32 inch. I really like tsumura and sugis. I feel like a cannon will outlive the saw in my experience. I have many other saws the 20 inch cannon can carry. I have a new 545xp mark 2 that I might run the cannon with a sprocket change.

If anyone has a 20 inch old school tsumura total superbar in a 3/8 pitch .050 I would be willing to buy it from them.

Not sure. From what I have read the 362 special is a large bar mount. A 572 clutch cover fits on it.

It is a large mount bar so it wont interchange with my 545. Got a new 372 oem piston and cylinder today to put on it. May swap this out tonight or tomorrow. Anything I need to know about this aside from the obvious stuff? Seems like a pretty simple swap from my research.
