What's everyone's favorite Husqvarna?

I bought the 257 so that I would not tire out my heavier 61. The 61 claps its hands whenever I run the 257. My Stihl's can't stand the long vacation that all my Huskies have awarded them.

I really like my parents 460 Rancher, it's usually in my hands to keep the fuel fresh and the chain sharp. I have other, better Husqvarna saws but this one is just always ready to go, predictable in the cut, easy to maintain, and runs a 24" bar as well as I need it to. It was also our first Husky and made me fall in love with Husqvarna saws. We've used it hard for more than 10 years now, only lost a clutch (from misuse probably haha), bar, and chains.

The 455 and 460s are very well built. I use to have a 455 Along side a ms290 and cut a ton of wood with them about 10 years ago. (The 455 always beat the 290) After I got my 359 and 261 I really never touched it again. Once you start running the pro saws that are lighter and have more power, those heavy bulky 455s tend to get put at the bottom of the shelf. I give them a A for reliability though.

My 385xphas kept 4 houses warm, and the sugar house woodshed full as well as done countless hours on one end of a double ended bar in the Alaskan saw mill and has never ever asked more from me
Than regular maintenance since 2004 , i have to say it is my favorite, it will out cut the 390xp twins. I bought a 562xp that keep having to force myself to resist putting a longer bar on as it defeats the purpose of having it. But if i have to choose one saw from the herd, its the 385 every time.

I like my 272 for reliability and simplicity, my 562 for speed (but I have trust issues with it), and my 298 for “big bar” work. That being said, I want a 372 just because of their fame and I have a 288 I need to run to see if it stacks up to all the hype. I had a 346 oe, but it didn’t impress me so I swapped it off for a race ported 056 MAG II.

I just like the 200 series over the 300s. I like the intake blocks over the boots and how simple they are. Not to mention this was pre xtorq and they didn't have many EPA regulations, and you could adjust the carbs fully. My only complaint is I wish they had springs vs buffers like the 300 series, but you can't get the best of both worlds. Really not that big of deal though. As for the 500 series, (I'm not even gonna mention the 400 series) I am mixed. I didn't really care for the early ones. Mainly with the hot starting and crank bearing issues. But from what I seen I think they have fixed all that with the Mark IIs. I ran a brand new never fueled 572 and I will say it would probably smoke my 372 once it gets broke in. My 2019 550xpg is just on a whole nother level.....

I loved my 346XP but I love my 550XP Mark I even more due to the better fuel economy. So much I bought a second one just as they disappeared from the supply chain last summer. My first 550 has over 1000 hours on it now I think.

I like my 562 XP quite well too but don’t often need that much power.

Im torn, I use 346xp's most days, but I have a particular fondness for the 242xp
