    Garage Sale Husqvarna 350

What Sean said X2. You can fluff about trying to gain 346 like operation out of a 350- or you could just be honest and say that it is a heck of a saw for the CC rating it slots into and the work it was designed to do in pretty much factory stock form. You can delete gaskets and check the riser...

Somewhat Out of the loop bar wise?

Ah, read this bit https://granberg.com/about-granberg-international/?v=8e3eb2c69a18 Does not mention anything in there about Granberg inventing/making GB bars- they might stock and sell them, but they don't make em- Griffith & Bereens in Australia do, mind you GB Australia might stock Granberg...

    Holfforma 070

GB Titanium Pro Tip 50" out of Australia. Shipping will possibly cost you more than the knock off saw, but you will at least have yourself a damn good 404 .063 bar. http://www.gbforestry.com.au/store/chainsaw-products/chainsaw-bars/extra-long-bars

Can be- and can take up to a month to get here. Yep- when pitted against each other, but put an Aussie and a Kiwi in a bar anywhere in the World drinking together and they will belittle each other until the cows come home, argue about who has the best rugby team (which of course is the Kiwi...

We can sign up to Aussie, UK and possibly US ebay, but a lot of places/sellers will either not ship here- or charge an arm and two legs to do so- much the same as how it works for us with Amazon. One of the problems with being a small Island Nation somewhat isolated from the rest of the World.

All the GB & Cannon bars I had were all 3 rivet semi circle "key" same as the Cannon bars- did not have the longer tongue, single rivet or 45 degree shoulders of the oregon style. https://www.cannonbar.com/bar-tips-accessories/

Nothing smartarsed about it- we don't have ebay here and Archer are not GB affiliated as far as I know, but you are right- they have a Kangaroo and Australia on the packaging- so that could be where the confusion arose from. Never owned an Archer bar to pass comment on them.

no idea sorry, we don't even have ebay here let alone buy Kangaroo bars off of it.

Somewhat Out of the loop bar wise?

That is interesting, I did not know they had slipped production out of Aussie and in to China- but that kind of thing certainly happens....... usually with a drop in quality to match the drop in production costs. The comments I made above apply only to the made in Australia models and at the...

Somewhat Out of the loop bar wise?

GB Titanium are bloody good guide bars. Typical Aussie product- no mucking about, just a good quality bar that wears and lasts well, with no fancy gimmicks, no frill and no lightweight epoxy add in's. Probably better than the current offerings from Oregon, almost on par with Stihl, maybe...

    Looking for a new Husky

It will pull a 32"chain around a bar without a problem- until you put that chain in a 36" log.......... if the chain is bang on sharp, you don't lean on it and cut softer woods- then yes, it might pull a 32" okay- but you have admitted to leaning on saws with dull chains and maybe you have some...

Advice - 266XP First saw, needs repairs.

That brake is possibly just fine- but is stuck in the engaged position with crud and or rust. Take the screws out and remove the spring cover plate- soak the workings in diesel for a couple of days, clean out as much crud as you can and see if it starts working. If not after that- take the...

    Stihl for "biggish" trees? 046/460/461?

Unless your Poplar's are WAY denser and harder than the ones that grow here- the 371 should not hesitate eating them for breakfast. Maybe the chain teeth and rakers need some attention. 046/460/461 are all in the same ballpark as mentioned above, any of the three (or the 371) will handle a...

Upgrade to a bigger saw, MS500i or 390XP

Bit bloody posh that is- your not British are you?, hiding down in the convict colony! I would still put a short rope or chain on one of the box handles to tether to the headboard- the box will help, but they don't bounce good them there expensive saws.

Upgrade to a bigger saw, MS500i or 390XP

Now you have the 90% North American and Canadian members that just read that googling "ute" :dizzy:  Make some kind of bolt on bar slot for the headboard of the flatdeck on the ute, so that you slide the saw in on say a 45 degree angle, some sort of tether through the rear handle to a...
