My 090 ended up costing nothing, I bought 6 stihls for 250, kept the 090 and sold the rest off making my money back.

A follow up from my original post, today I recontacted the firewood seller whom I bought the earlier parts and saws from. Scored a 288xp and 3120xp from $550aud, very happy as I've always wanted a 288xp.

Scored these this morning from a retiring firewood seller, 2 x 395xp part saws, 385xp, Jonsereds 621 and Mac 15 all for $80aud. Seller also had a 288xp and 3120xp which he wants to offload, I've made an offer on them and I'll give him a few days to think about it.

288 XP...... let the adventures begin.

I was very lucky with this saw, the bottom end was great and the piston was only locked up from years of storage without a spark plug and filter, after i unstuck it i found the piston/cylinder great, just needed new rings and a real good crankcase cleanout. The plastics were great underneath the...

I had this basket case 281 given to by a co worker, engine was locked up and missing parts. I put many hrs into fixing this saw and it was so worth it. It has become one of my favourite saws to run.

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Todays find at the local swapmeet, seller only wanted $20 for it, i couldnt buy it quick enough. Turns over nice with good compression but no spark yet. Real nice AV, much the same as the CP125.
