    Chunking down a spar

Well that is indeed a magic formula! Performed a good size pine removal on Friday and got every chunk to land nice and flat! Thanks again greengreer for sharing that info. Feel like my spar skills just advanced a level! :)

    Chunking down a spar

That's just the info I was looking for, thanks. I will try this tomorrow. We do about 80-90 % removals so I will get lots of practice. Also ATH is right about the size being rather large. I've gotten better at getting the shorter chunks to land flat but as this is production work my boss...

    Chunking down a spar

So its been a while since I've checked into Arboristsite, was away from the business for a while. My question is can anyone give me advice on making my chunks land nice and flat. Tired of spearing the ground with 15' chunks next to houses. Perhaps it is something that just comes with more...

    Bees.....

Well there are many considerations...sounds like he is at risk of future shock reactions and the onset of symptoms could happen much faster next time. My doc said 5-15 min is the norm for a fast reaction. Some times two hours can pass before the shock reaction begins. I was told that 2.5 min...

    Bees.....

Ok...on Friday the 16th I got stung twice by yellow jackets, never had an allergy before. I had no warning as to what was about to happen other than a metallic taste in my mouth. About 2.5 minutes later I was unresponsive, in full seizure and foaming at the mouth. My coworkers saved my life...

The Newbs version of "Whadja do today?"

I am in the process now of incorporating the Hitch Climber pulley and VT in my work climbs. I really love the minimal setback of the vt. Takes me an extra minute to set up over the Blake's on a split tail, but the versatility makes up for that the first time I reposition my TIP. Ordered my...

    George Zimmerman found not guilty

Well if YOUR great grandfather was a slave, I believe that qualifies you as having a bit of experience with slavery. However I agree that it's no excuse for lack of achievement. It is relevant within the context of modern race relations. The attitude of, it happened get over it is a...

    George Zimmerman found not guilty

Mike, I hear what you are saying and you have made some great points about other races being subjected to the brutalities of humanity as well, however lets not forget that the sickness of slavery went on for over four hundred years and none of the other races really experienced that kind of...

    George Zimmerman found not guilty

Oh really? I've only heard that some people want the feds to take a turn. There is no definite plan and I don't think the evidence is there to have another trial. As for the latter part of your post, we "white" people don't have the history of being lynched, tortured, being a slave for life...
