    Jonsered Chainsaws

You won't find many with that certain degree of patina. I thought maybe it was a joke until I saw all the stuff their store.

No recoil or push decomp on a P41 / P42. If you have Farmsaw , they have one as do some other Pioneers.

Plus they don't have those plastic linkages on the carbs that like to break. Still using my 295 for my ATV saw. They rip pretty well for a little saw. Lots of haters for the 295's but they stand up well if you treat them gently. Definitely not one for the ham fisted. A friend of mine used his...

In the case of those saws, both are clamshells. Like a Harley motor with a cap on the bottom of the cylinder making up the crankcase rather than the saw case containing the crankcase. The clam shell engine on those Poulans (and other plastic homeowner saws) allows the engine to be bolted into a...

I had a look at the NSK catalog and the R8 bearing they list is .5 X 1.125 X .25 Another R8 is 5/16" so I'm assuming they come in both sizes. If you have the inclination, you will find the R8 on page B7 of this NSK catalog. The bearing weighs .040 lbs or 18.1 grams...

Randy, As near as I can tell the bearings for the Micro clutch drums are 10X13X13mm but I can't be absolutely sure.

I'm pretty sure Woodland Pro is Carlton chain. That's Oregon's off brand chain. I haven't tried the semi chisel Carlton but the chisel cuts well.

I will measure up the bearing if you want Randy. I did have a look at it yesterday to see if PN was stamped into the cage but didn't see one.

I've used both with good results. The 6 is hotter than the 7. The 3400 manual says Champion CJ8Y. Champion number. the higher the hotter, NGK the lower is hotter.

Not to worry Randy. It's become a chat club thread about anything. Even the VI's need somewhere to go.

The rim is permanently affixed. MAC made a bunch like that. Full 3/8 won't wrap around that one. It does work somewhat the other way around. Carvers use a regular 3/8 rim for LP but it does hammer the drivers down after awhile.

I can't say I've seen one of these sprockets before. I came on a micro and is 3/8 LP.

Just a thought, Someone bought an after market kit and the rivet on the metering diaphragm was too tall causing the metering needle to stay open. Check it against the old one if you still have it.

We did have and maybe still do a 34XX and a 38XX where XX were different bar lengths and they were advertised as having 34 and 38cc motors but if you look at the IPL's they both had 40cc set ups. Same engine, same carb. I don't know if they were sold in the US.
