    Picked up a 4000 carcass bout 5 years ago. Needed some parts. Had to replace clutch cover with 3800 cover; air filter holder with unpainted gray one, AF with 3400 filter, and AF cover with 3400 cover a nd rings. A real Frankensaw. So I cleaned it up and cut down some 4900 rings. No worky...

    Is your smooth trail relatively straight. Even if not, why not just shove them off the edge and let’m roll til they stop. The reset them and do it again. And again, etc until they're at the bottom. Ive done that through rocky and brushy woods. Let gravity be your friend. Try a couple and see...

    Hey bob. Had same issue with red craftsman 3.4. New rings and low compression. Could get it to start sometimes but wouldnt run. I guess cause i kept yanking on it for couple months i musta broke it in cause it will now start and run. Been a while but thinking it pulls approx 110. Theyre well...
