How did the place that did the oil pump remove the clutch? Rope? Piston chock?
If they didn't use an impact driver they could have caused damage....
My 025 isn't much bigger size wise than my ms170 but capable of a lot more work. Ms250's seem a bit bigger

True that, haven't run wrong pitch or broken a sprocket.
I wonder if wrong pitch chain could be the cause of the Broken sprocket tooth
You'll need to know what chain your using as sprockets will vary accordingly
Could it be a problem with the reed valve being stuck ?
With the plug in, and the lead off is it still hard to turn? That could eliminate spark timing from the list
