Ash holds up pretty good standing or off the ground but maintaining that many cords over a given period is something I've not yet to deal with....

I can't say I'd trade Oak for maple but have no problem burning sugar maple.

Well it's a crossbreed.....cedar and Red elm with a hint of tasmania blue Gum.
