change the solenoid . costs about $40. run the reprogram process.
had the exact same symptoms ...swapped out the solenoid and bam----favorite saw...
Better port #s to start with . Once ported they are pretty much similar depending on porting goals.
385s are tremendous saws. Rarely reach for 395...

that's the "rubber to rubber" gasket that makes it an "Elasto-Start" as stated above, goes in handle which in your pic seems to be farked up
guys...just so you know...HOS is NOT USG....I love my HOS but it does not have the angles available like the USG...
that's a lotta welding and work for $1500.
