What’s their application in clearing blow down?
What’s the distance between the sprocket and tail? Is the tensioner maxed out? This will cause the chain to impact the bar and results in...
Pull a link from the chain as soon as you can. Increasing the distance from the bar heel to the sprocket will increase bar wear at the heel and...
I would fix it. If you have a bench and some tools; worst case is you’re out maybe $200 in parts and special tools but with much more knowledge.
The processor uses hydraulic oil from the hydraulic system. There is no separate bar oil. You could buy bar oil by the 55 gallon drum if you wanted.
David Bradley.....he passed away in ‘78.
I want. Don’t need, but want. Maybe I’ll get a 32 when I buy a 462.
I drive through Centralia on my way north to visit family. I’m torn between skipping it or not. I know if I go in I’m not getting out cheap....
Is there any literature on the 500i with a recommended bar size range for it?
I’d like to see a hp and torque curve for the 500i, 462cm, and a 461.
I’d probably sell it and buy a 261cm if I got a 462.
I have some gift certificates for Madsens. I’m back and forth on a 462 now or wait on a 500. Currently the only saw is a 362cm.
That’s actually part of the training.
I saw a demonstration for a nascar type chainsaw refueling system. The saw’s refueling cap gets replaced with a new insert. The MSR fuel...
It’s not just Stihl chainsaws. Brush cutters, fuel bottles, generators, and fire pumps have done it. The chainsaws are the most common though....
Having seen the Forest Service report on fuel geysering; I’m confident it is being made a bigger deal of than it actually is. How do you propose...
What didn’t you like about the 572?
I would look at the Husqvarna 572XP. The anti vibration is better than a 461 and the torque is better than the new Stihl 462.
How long of a bar do you need and how often do you need it?
I use a 25” full comp on my 362. Also have a 20” and 28”. I don’t have to reach with the 25, but it’s a stretch to bury it.
What do you need an upgrade for?
Separate names with a comma.
