    My new MS362so

You’re not on a pedestal, lol, I’m glad you shared your knowledge. I will only use this saw occasionally and will always run either high quality non ethanol fuel that I mix, or Moto mix, so I think it should be a good runner for me. Btw- is that what they call the version 2 model now; 362-Z ??

    562xp vs. ms-362

I also just bought an MS362, but it’s non mtronic, it is a version 2 model though.

    My new MS362so

Not sure yet, and by “tired” I don’t mean the engine, it’s a strong runner. However, the pull starter broke, so I replaced it with an aftermarket one, plus the linkage for the choke/shut off switch was messed up, and I made it worse. Have to hold the choke lever down to start it, and then choke...

    My new MS362so

Yeah, I never heard that either, maybe he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, lol, but it changed my mind anyhow.

    My new MS362so

He said he just took a class on the mtronic, and that they can hook it up to the computer and tell if you did anything “bad” with it which could void the warranty. Whether it was run straigt or ethanol gas, overrevved it, etc. Also, he said after so many hours, it shuts itself down to force you...

    My new MS362so

So, I needed a saw to replace my tired 034, I picked up this little guy. I was wanting an mtronic after reading the great reviews, but a friend at the dealer kind of talked me out of it. I bought this with an 18” b/c. Now, this is not mtronic, but it does appear to have the upgraded air filter...

    just ordered new huskee 22ton

I have a 27 ton model w/ the 5.5 hp Honda engine, bought it about 5 years ago. It has been great, have split lots of wood with it. Only problem I ever had was one of the throttle control governor springs (a very fine spring), got rusty & broke, but very simple fix. You should be happy with...

Cost effective to build own splitter?

I bought a Huskee 27 ton splitter w/ 5.5hp Honda motor from TSC 4 years ago. I have split probably 150 face cord with it over the 4 years, have not had any problems except a broken throttle control spring (part of the govenor), replaced spring and back in business. Also, I have forced it through...

Can you tell me what model Stihl this is ....

The second saw is a Shindaiwa, but I don't know much about them. they are both for sale on Utica NY craigs list $30 and $40, claims both ran when put away & the Stihl needs a muffler.

    Looking for new Work boots?

JJay03 - I got them at a local Army/Navy sporting goods store ($189). You can find them online though. I'm very pleased with them so far.

    Looking for new Work boots?

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a pair of Georgia 8" Gore-tex loggers. They're getting broke in now, and they are very comfortable. Hopefully they hold up well, seem to be very good quality.

What kind of Turd Stihl saw is this?

HA - Good eye, I didn't even notice it the first time I looked at the pic. That's funny s***

Worth more as log or firewood?

Around here, you would probably get $150 or so for the log, but I doubt many lumber companies will want to come mess with just one log. Last year, my brother cut down a nice Cherry on his lawn, just so happens a lumber company in the area drives by his place quite often, so they stopped & put in...

Do you cover your firewood all summer?

I stack my firewood on wooden pallets, a company near me that builds manufactured & mobile homes throws the pallets out by the road for poeple to take. I work on my wood all spring & summer, so I leave what is split & stacked, uncovered, until I have all my winter's wood done, then I cover the...

    Stihl's version of a Husky 359?

How do you figure $200 more for a MS361 ?? He said he paid $500 for the 359, I paid about $580 for my MS361. It sounds like the 359 is a good saw, but for $80 more, I would take the 361.
