    Since we have an OWB the thought of getting up in the middle of the night to feed it makes me cringe....as for getting hubby to feed it...forget it....he cuts, kids stck and momma feeds the outside child... My last check on the "outside child" is generally around 10:30 at night.....morning...

    how much more wood will i use in OWB

    In northern Pa we get 2 triaxle loads of logs per winter. I would say get everything you can as they eat & are hungry. being nice out i may post a picture of the start of next yrs firewood pile (about half) we will need more (twice that size) but its a nice start & give you some reference ;)

    I had free 130 acres adjoining land the butchers left the tops on i agreed to clean up. So i sold firewood for 2 seasons yrs ago, I had an exc customers, 450 dozer (arch & winch) 2 F350 4x4 dumps 2 decent saws 1 homemade splitter. I didnt kill myself for 8hrs a day in the woods :laugh...

    2 cycle oil? synthetics exhibit an affinity for moisture?

    hmmm we have a couple old Jonsereds (2095 and 670) that we have been using a synthetic called "Golden Spectro" which was designed for hotrod 2 stroke motorcycles/Atv's with really good luck. We haven't burned up a saw in over 400 cords of firewood. Of course that would be mixing with 93 octane...
