Good advise

My dad has had a 51 for 10+ years & it's been a great saw. The carburetor just recently had to be cleaned & I serviced the engine as well & found out he had never serviced it before! He only uses it around the house or at hunt property so it only sees light use but it's always been reliable.

I've done the same thing to the PoulanPro & Craftsman chainsaws that I started out with & haven't looked back. The 'easy tightening' systems are junk in my opinion, they just don't stay tight. Congratulations on making the MS250 a more reliable chainsaw!

Did you buy the 6-pack of Ultra to double the warranty?

I installed a Vec piston in a MS280 & have put a few tanks of fuel through it & haven't had any complaints with it.

It amazes me how some people don't take care of their stuff, even before reading what was wrong with the saw the pictures showed the previous owner didn't take care of it. Glad you spent a little time to get the saw up & running, hopefully the next owner takes better care of it.

The Husqvarna 51 looks complete & are nice chainsaws. My dad has a 51 & just recently needed the carburetor cleaned for the first time in 10+ years of homeowner use.

I've recently done the 290 to 390 swap & had read about updated 390 oil pumps but everything I found stated the 290 & 390 oil pumps were the same?
