    48" bar and chain

I was hoping for a little help. I can't find anyone that has 48" bars for sale for my 395 and 3120. I will need a ripping chain for the mill and a regular chain for the occasional big tree. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Saw Bearings

I was wondering where everyone is buying their bearings. I need the 6202 C3 and 6203 C3 bearings and a lot of them. I was given some SKF 6203 2rs bearings and I was wondering if I could pop out the rubber seal on one side and use it on the clutch side of my 385s. If not I can pop out both sides...

The myth of high compression in 2-strokes

Trappermike Big Woods had a discussion about his 372s. He would take a 268 piston and machine it down to make a popup. The piston skirt is already shorter than the stock 372 piston and actually a lot lighter. The shorter skirt would obviously give it a bigger intake duration. He would keep the...

Ethanol free fuel, or not quite?

Most of the convenience store pumps have a shared hose and you have to chose what gas you want. That means that the hose has some gas in it from the last purchase. Probably regular gas. Pump a little ethanol free in your vehicle enough to clear the hose out of the old. I get my ethanol free from...

    Cutting cylinder bases

If I am understanding the discussion right most guys turn down a piece of Aluminum 12"long to fit snugly inside the cylinder then put pressure on the top of cylinder with the live center. And that is the easiest and fastest way to true up the cylinder for the base cut. Tree Monkey had a nice...
