    Reasonable expectations from sellers

Would it be entirely inappropriate to post links to the discussions about him here and on other chainsaw forums to his Facebook account?

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

Yes, The seller in question is Jason Scott, AKA Jason1980, AKA TIMBER BEAR 540-505-2045. Maybe he'll get his stuff straightened out and make things right but it seems rare that an adult changes paths that drastically.

I paid through facebook which should have been an immediate red flag to me.

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

Well it sure looks like I got screwed. I've given the seller the benefit of the doubt for 2 months to no avail. I guess since people just can't do the right thing no matter what. As stated above this 395 was sold as a freshly rebuilt saw. When I received it I was immediately struck by how awful...

    MS461 sudden death

Well, that's not what I meant by ignition, I'd say that's more of a fuel air ratio / compression issue but... yikes. That sucks.

    MS461 sudden death

If it stopped suddenly, and feels normal when pulling it over, not easier or harder then it is most likely an ignition issue. Check for spark. If you have spark check very carefully to make sure your plug wire doesn't have any bad spots and is grounding out on the case. Check your kill switch...

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

Just spoke with the seller, He picked up the phone when I called and everything he said rang true to what was in front of me. He said he would provide the missing parts and based on his honesty with everything visible I get the feeling that he is a good honest person and will. I did make a...

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

So a normally functioning saw at the minimum?

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

If a seller on this site had an add that indicated a saw had recently been re-built what would be a reasonable expectation for a buyer? All parts present? all functionally required parts present? a few screws missing? within spec compression?

Any chance someone could help me find an IPL and manual for a 661? Thanks

    Very valuable trees

I ran across this on CL today and had to laugh so thought I would share. https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/grd/d/old-growth-poplar-tulip-tree/6720543298.html I replied to the listing and sent them a link to this video that helps people understand just how valuable these trees are...

    offset woodruff keys?

Does anyone know of a source for offset 2x3.7 woodruff keys? I sheared off the one I had cut down for the 660 I'm building this evening and was wondering if there was a better way than cutting them down. It broke due to the flywheel not being anywhere close to as snug as I thought, not due to...

    MS660 Blowdown

I have a question for you porters out there. I decided to try my hand at port an aftermarket cylinder I was putting on my 660. It was going well until I decided the transfers weren't quite high enough. I have managed to get the exhaust down to 102° but the transfers were down around 125-127° so...

Want to Buy WTB 066 660 cylinder

Thanks guys, this forum never cease to amaze me. The AM seller got in contact with me and is going to send me another replacement. I'll hold off on the OEM until I see how it looks. The kits may have been poor so far but the customer service hasn't.
