Just an observation on parts suppliers

This right here is why i havent opened my website back up.....i refuse to be that guy. if its listed on my website it means i have it in stock and should have plenty in stock. you occasionally run low or out of parts but i always tried to email people the next day and give them a timeline of...

About to dive into a couple STIHL 362 rebuilds. Help!

pull the clutch drums and look at the crank before ordering a single part. 261 and 362s are known for wearing the crank where the clutch drum bearing rides

    OEM or fake

buying on ebay is fine if you trust the seller and the parts come packaged correctly.....i sell on ebay and only sell genuine parts but to your point....ebay and amazon are loaded with counterfeit parts being passed off as genuine. look at the packaging......lots and lots of "genuine" walbro and...

    stump removal and excavator/back hoe

just to give you a reference...not a very good one but its a reference. i have a cat 303 ho...about 9000lbs. i clear cut about 2 acres a few years back and went up to dig the stumps out last fall. some 12" stumps took 5 minutes while others took 3 hours. dug a couple 20-24" stumps out and...

    Engine swap project

anything can be done with enough time and patience. friend of mine swapped a 06 or 08 mustang 4.0 into a 92 f150....pulse fuel pump and all. it was 2 bays of the shop tied up with wiring harnesses spread out for a couple weeks. same guy also swapped a 5.9 12v into a 04 top kick with the 04...

    Echo Chainsaw Horsepower Data Needed

@Cliff R i do seriously love the makita battery saw....so much so that i own 2 of them and they get used every week but they arent serious tools. a wheel barrow of wood is just a trim job. Cars arent any better, i keep up on the battery cars because they interest me....the performance is...

It seems impossible to find a notable skid steer deal.

yep i went looking for a good used(low hour) tracked skid and mini ho.....ended up buying brand new because new was only 10k more than a 10 year old unit with a 1000 hours.

A little help please. Want to cut a UTV trail

if you want a trail fast....rent a tracked skid steer with a forestry mower on it. i just cleared a path around 25 acres in a day with mine......spent another week of evenings with a chainsaw opening the trail up from a winding utv sized trail to a 10-50' wide straight as an arrow path. compare...

    Echo Chainsaw Horsepower Data Needed

jred is gone except for like 4 models of homeowner saws. they gave everything back to redmax and now from my understanding redmax is on the way out with saws no idea on makita. they seem to think battery power is going to rule the world in a few years. while i love the battery powered chainsaw...

Dolmar 9000 find today and some advice needed

tillotson hs295 is the correct carb. it is a direct bolt on. 9000s were known to have crappy ignition systems so upgrading that is almost mandatory and it requires the ignition coil as well as the flywheel for a 9010. 9000 flywheel and 9010 coil doesnt work. once the higher limited 9010 coil...

    Echo Chainsaw Horsepower Data Needed

    Echo Chainsaw Horsepower Data Needed

i would just take published numbers from stihl/husky and subtract 5%. that will get you close to the echo HP numbers....some saws(CS-400 are more like 15%) and some(CS-355) are almost equal. i ran timed test cuts on the 620, 6100, 362, 2260(562) and from the fastest to the slowest it was around...

    Makita EA6100 Surging

tank vent holds pressure in the tank. it will let air in but not out so what you experienced is normal for basically every new saw. fuel lines are pretty stiff and not real sticky??? when new so be sure they are bad before ordering new ones my experience working on these is very limited...we...

Dolmar 421 crank seal, bearing removal

air leak causes tuning issues and all the problems that go with improper tuning...thats it. stopping and starting is usually a bad ignition coil

Dolmar 421 crank seal, bearing removal

anyone prying a saw case apart with screwdrivers needs their hand smacked and tools taken away. its a good way to break or ruin a case. and if they are at an actual shop.....use their advice as a good indicator to never take anything to them to repair

    Makita 7300 vs 565 vs 372xp

i used to do 320 shipped. if i ever get back to being a makita dealer they will be 320 plus shipping which is still cheap

    Makita 7300 vs 565 vs 372xp

dealers wont get any discounts i guarantee that.....when the 6400 was discontinued we actually got a price increase on them. in the states the 4300 is 320..dirt cheap compared to anything built close to the same quality

    Makita 7300 vs 565 vs 372xp

4300s are dirt cheap and since they do 99% of my cutting i own several plus one was my step dads that i inherited when he passed. i have a collection of saws to use....counting the NIB ones....5x4300/421, 3x7901, 5105H, 6100, 620.......5105 only gets used demoing houses and such.....6100 and 620...

    Makita 7300 vs 565 vs 372xp

ignition coil and maybe some air filters. havent really sold many parts for them or had any real issues. maybe had 2 bad coils but since dolly coils are kinda known to be iffy i would hoard one.
