My 661 works perfectly for me. But it's not just the saw, bars and chains play a big role to. I run full skip chisel on both of my saws. The first thing I do to a new chain is file the takers down 3 to 5 swipes.

What purpose does a 20 inch bar serve on a 90cc class saw? Just curious. I recently picked up a 661 and it doesn't cut any faster than my 362 until it's buried in bigger wood. 661 36 inch bar 362 28 inch bar

Another downfall with the old screworld on caps is it was to easy to poke a hole in them when tightening them with a bar wrench. Most of the time they held just finger tight though.

No it was not cracked or have any holes in it. It was a little sraped up with chain marks is all. The idea was to prevent a punture from ever happening.
