    xp90 vs bc1000xl?

We are in the market for a smaller chipper as well. We were talking with Bandit about the 200UC. The UC stands for Utility Chipper. It is aimed at companies like Asplundh. It is lighter than the 200XP because of a lighter frame and axle. The salesman told us that you cant get a winch as an...

    Bull-Line rope?

That sure looks like pull tape to me. Herculine HLP1250W-1K 1/2" x 1000 ft. pull tape 1250 We used that all the time pulling cable. It is actually very strong stuff. I have pulled cars out of ditches with it. It's not good for a rigging line but it has many great uses around the shop or job...

What is the difference between a Vermeer BC 1230 A and a BC 1230?

Pretty sure that just means Autofeed. From my experiences, the Autofeed system on Vermeer chippers works like crap. Don't let the "A" affect your decision to buy a chipper or not.

    330 ford vs 300 ford

We have the ford 330 in our back up chipper which is a Chipmore from the mid 80s. Seems to be a good strong g engine. I have no idea about the bolt patterns..... Sorry. The truck service company that we use tells us that the. 330 was a good engine and parts are easy to get. I would call a...

Best place to buy climbing gear.

Treestuff.com is Metro Arborist Supply. Great company to work with. Treestuff and Wesspur together get 99.9% of our business and Treestuff gets 85% of that. I wish we had a company like that locally.

    Port-a-Wrap, Bollards, Etc.

That is not what I was expecting you to say. It will be interesting to see if your opnion changes in the next 6mo to a year. We just got our GRCS last fall and I cant imagine a device being better than that.

    Splicing

Shoot. I am not an expert, but I am getting fairly good at dbl braids, 12 strand, and 3 strand. 16strand is next for me.

    Port-a-Wrap, Bollards, Etc.

    North Cent. WI

I am in Appleton and maybe its because I work here, but there are not really any good areas to climb that I know of. There are some cool trees in High Cliff State Park.... I talked to a ranger there and he said that its fine to climb trees there as long as you dont cause any harm to them...
