    Cheap (but decent) backup saw?

I have a husky 440/jonsered 2240. Pulls a 16 pretty well. Fairly light. Super cheap. Never had a problem running it. Yeah, its plastic. As a backup id just fill it with some of that canned fuel. Thst saw loves canned fuel btw, runs fine on gasoline but damn, i usually run a can through in the...

Is it time, to get with the times?

The echo 590 looks good and may be on my short list. Unfortunately i have to postpone the saw buying for now due to unforseen expenses. In the meantime I'll have to get choosey and cut smaller trees the 440 can take on its own. I guess this gives me time to think through all the options and talk...

Is it time, to get with the times?

And other than felling a tree on the 440 (can hardly blame that on the manufacturer ) it really is a good homowner saw, and that's all i am. Looking at the 460 and considering i can get gently used for under 300, its really hard to say no. Except that i can find some older stihls for the...

Is it time, to get with the times?

So a homeowner saw in a bigger cc like a 460 or a jonsered 2255 would not be worth it ?

Is it time, to get with the times?

When the going gets tough, i grab an old husky 51 and up until recently i had a big fat mcculloch for whatever that...

    Remedy for poisen ivy?

there is a wild plant up here that is used for this, and commonly grows in the same conditions as poison ivy. we call it touch-me-not for the explosive seeds it grows. the flowers are orange cone shaped and the leaves look semi heat shaped . usually a bush only 3 ft high. so you take the stalks...

Anyone Heard of Building a Bike saw from a Jet Ski Engine?

might be a touch on the heavy side, but hey if its just a piece to say you did something unique, i say go for it. i think it may lack torque, because jetskis are made to move water fast through an impeller which doesnt seem like a torque demanding task but i could be wrong

    husqvarna 142 e series

I want to get into the building of semi-hot saws. I mean as hot as you can get without a stinger pipe or anything that makes the saw not usable in the woods. I have a baby saw I want to learn with it's a husky 142 and its beat up but runs good, the goal with this saw would be learning porting...
