6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

Here is how the chimney looked before I emptied my wallet to my mason. (He actually gave me a very fair price, I believe, but it still hurt!)

6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

Thanks King, I already have the rigid 6" pipe, so I don't feel the flex is necessary. If you had insulation wrap for cheap I might jump on that ;) Learning alot just from your comments and doing research afterward. Thank you all, any more comments are welcome.

6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

Just reading up on the subject, would a top plate sealing off the opening around the pipe at the top of the chimney create enough dead air to act as insulation?

6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

It is a single story ranch with full basement. The stove will be on the main floor tied in about 5' above floor height (8ft ceilings). The attic is probably 6-8' tall, the brick chimney does extend over 24" above the roof's ridge line. So that's about 13' estimated. I have 15' of single wall...

6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

Just to clarify, I don't really have any issue running 6" all the way up, that's how it was before with my old stove, albeit with 8" pipe. I just figured that using the adapter would be a cleaner solution overall.

6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

Manual says 6" My mason said.. "This should draw like a m*f*-er" so I figured why not try it? I thought thimbles were only for going into the side of the chimney?

6in round to 12x12 square adapter?

Does anyone know if there is an adapter like this I can use to hook my 6in chimney pipe into the bottom of a 13x13 clay tile liner? I just got my chimney done, and a new wood stove (Drolet HT-2000), but due to how things are setup, I need to have this adapter, or else run a pipe all the way...

    Buying Logs for Firewood

My neighbor got a triaxle load (he said around 6 or 7 cord) for $350. He said it's a local guy he has dealt with for many years. I have been contemplating asking for the guy's number...

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

This time of year I do what I call "scrounging" but really all I am doing is going out in the woods with my 4-wheeler and small trailer and filling it up with 3"-5" dead stuff I can get to easily. It lasts me a few days since the temps aren't too bad.

    Sharpening your chain

I still consider myself a novice, but I do all of mine by hand, I've been getting better at it. I did buy the Oregon raker guide / flat file kit, but the file was such crap I ended up tapping all of the rakers with an angle grinder and it worked out pretty well. Been keeping a better look out...

    Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Nice access, nice wood too, that looks like the way to get it done! I am going to check out your splitter build too I like that tray to catch the splits.

    First load this season

Thanks, just a fun morning out in the woods with my Dad, not too much better!

    First load this season

Finally had a chance to get out and cut, went out with my Dad and we got one load each. He was driving the M, so I decided to take the 400 and make it a Farmall party! We finally got a chance to try out the hitch we welded on the back of one of the trailers, the log splitter pulled back there...

    Husky 435 trouble reaching rpm

Went looking for the saw this afternoon but it was nowhere to be found. Apparently he took it back down to the dealer Monday morning.. :-/

    Husky 435 trouble reaching rpm

Thanks for the advice, I will try that a little later today when I have a break. I watched a bunch of youtube videos this morning, and the saw is 4-stroking before it reaches top rpm, which sounds like too much fuel.. I'll reset them as suggested and go from there, thanks again

    Husky 435 trouble reaching rpm

Ok, so instead of turning it to the right (lean) I should be going to the left... I shall try it. When I first started to make adjustments, I tried going to the left 1/8 turn, but it didn't seem to make any difference, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

    Husky 435 trouble reaching rpm

My Dad took his Husky 435 down to the dealer a few weeks back to get the recoil starter replaced (he was mad at the saw and took it there in a huff, otherwise I would've just done it myself) While it was there apparently they 'tuned it up' and ever since it hasn't been running quite right...
