    Husqvarna 365 special fuel tank.

Well I knocked that 90* elbow off the fuel tank. That alone made a huge improvement. The saw will Atleast idle now and doesn't load up after sitting for awhile. Doesn't leak any fuel out of the vent either. I'll run a few tanks this weekend and see how it all works out Regards-Carlo

    Husqvarna 365 special fuel tank.

I have been searching eBay. My factory tank is missing the throttle safety and it had a small crack around it. Within 3-4 uses it cracked all the way down to the seam so I felt it was time. Apparently I was wrong so it may be going back on until I find a new one. Regards-Carlo

    Husqvarna 365 special fuel tank.

That's what I had thought honestly. And to my understanding the caps are just caps. They aren't vented or serve any purpose besides keeping fuel in the tank. So I'm a bit befuddled by the results I'm getting. Regards-Carlo

    Husqvarna 365 special fuel tank.

My tank has the same setup. I took off the black hose and turned the 90 degree fitting for proper fit under the carb base. I can't find the auction I bought it from so I'm probably stick with it. So I may try taking off that fitting. Worst case scenario is I have to get a tank that is an oem...

    Husqvarna 365 special fuel tank.

Well this tank has a very crude feeling throttle. It works but it is very hard to tell where full throttle and half throttle is with the saw off. Regards-Carlo

    Husqvarna 365 special fuel tank.

I bought a fuel tank off an online auction site several months ago and it is an aftermarket tank. If I remember correctly it was from Hong Kong but I can't find the listing now. Anyway I put it on lastnight after tuning the saw to a good time with the factory tank. The factory tank was cracking...

    Safely removing a hanger?

Thought it was a good idea. Guess I'll get to it. Regards-Carlo

    Safely removing a hanger?

I have a pine that snapped in half in my front yard about 25ft off a pretty busy road. The top half is stuck in another tree. I'd like to remove the top half and avoid having it drop in the road but I've never dealt with a hanger before. So I'd like opinions on what would be my best approach at...

Did I buy a stolen chainsaw?

I wouldn't put too much thought into it. If it was reported stolen the dealer should have been able to tell you through a search like the one they did for your parts. Or Atleast that's my understanding of how stolen equipment is reported. Regards-Carlo

    Hand filing problem

Philbert knows his stuff. And to reiterate his point of you have less knowledge on chains this may be the perfect one too learn on. I went through atleast 6-7 used chains before I figured out how to properly sharpen one. And I still constantly change it up to see what it does.

    Husqvarna 365 special

Also as far as base gasket delete check squish and see if I have room. Is there anything about this model saw I should know? I've had plenty of saws and I've only done mm and gasket delete/rebuilds. I plan to vacuum and pressure test it soon. Regards-Carlo

    Husqvarna 365 special

I'm working on it. My phone is shattered and it's my only source of pictures/internet at the moment. I'll try to get pics up this weekend when I can grab my wife's phone.

    Husqvarna 365 special

I did but not by much. It doesn't necessarily have to have a tank. It doesn't leak or anything. I'm just anal about stuff and would prefer to replace the tank just so I'm not worrying about the handle cracking more.

    Husqvarna 365 special

I never put eyes on the saw so I didn't know it had one either. But it's a friend of the family. It has around 140psi compression. No scoring. Good crosshatch. So I figured I'd throw cabers in so I didn't have to mess with it over the winter. I plan to cut wood all summer so I'd like the saw to...

    Husqvarna 365 special

Well I got it. Now it's time to relieve it of some unnecessary "things" find a caber ring and a fuel tank and it's good to go. The tank handle is broke in half so I need to replace that before it becomes more of an issue. My wife's gonna love this. Just when I thought CAA was helping...

    Husqvarna 365 special

I have a deal in the works to buy a 365 special off a friend of my fathers. He says it has a new bar and chain and I haven't laid eyes on the saw yet. I know the basic checkout for function compression and such. Assuming it's a good runner is it worth $360 and are 365's the saws you can convert...

Want to Buy Wtb Stihl 046-460

I'm not talking eBay prices. I sold good running saws for 400-500 when I had them. Rediculous pricing isn't me. 460s where only 850$ new before the 461 came out. Regards-Carlo

Want to Buy Wtb Stihl 046-460

I just bought my first house after selling my beloved 460s. I can't afford to spend 4-500 for a runner so if anyone has parts or a blown up saw they'd like to sell me please let me know. Id like to do firewood this year and make some furniture. Let this be a lesson. Never listen to your wife and...
