Want to Trade 046 and ms660 projects for trade

Want to Trade 046 and ms660 projects for trade

Pics. Sorry they are kinda mixed up. You can see the pivot pin broke off on the 660. I have all parts for both saws, might be missing a bolt or two, and the 660 obviously missing the filter cover. Both saws have good compression, I didn't have my little dumb ass bit to take the mufflers off but...

Want to Trade 046 and ms660 projects for trade

046 ran great but blew the plug out and stripped the threads. 660 chain brake pivot pin broke. I tinkered with the other day and it's gonna need the carb cleaned. It will run if you pour fuel into the carb. Both saws need some plastic work, and I think my wife threw the air filter cover away...

Thinking about getting into the tree service business...what do I need to know?

As others have said, there is a lot more to tree work than running a power saw. You might get a job with a local tree service and realize it's not something you want to do the rest of your life.

    Gear Obsession

I agree with all the above, but I also think that being set in your ways is simply a practice of ignorance. Climbing on a closed system and false crotching everything is just dumb. I'm not saying you have to gear out with the latest and greatest, but damn, I bet you don't hunt deer with a sharp...

1993 Bandit 250 anvil to knife clearance issue - new knife and new anvil - too tight

drum or disk? I'm A millwright at a local saw mill and we run our whole log chippers on 20 thou. As long as the highest knife doesn't hit the anvil you'll be fine. I'm sure your not trying to sling chips up 30 feet of pipe so I wouldn't sweat it.

Glad I found you all, and hello!

I've never done line clearance work, but the amount of damage I see them do to trees not being removed, srt and proper pruning techniques would be the furthest thing from my mind. Especially when you see that thing, I believe it's called a "jaraff" driving around molesting trees. I'm not...

    Nicked the climber's rope

Second this. Ropes have a way of hiding in the brush.

    Saw too small.

I thought about boring the center, after I had already wrapped around the back. Not experienced enough I guess.
