Husqvarna 162 chassis Protecting and Repair cups, 501680801 & 501531801

My thoughts are that the “protector” insulates two parts of a same material from each other to prevent wear. Don’t want an alloy tank rubbing on an alloy chassis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Want to Buy Poulan 415 clutch cover

I'm looking to buy a decent clutch cover for a 415 Poulan. I understand that a 425 will also fit as well as one from a 2077 Jonsered. I don't care about the color, I'll paint it if needed. Thanks in advance! Fishnuts2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Aw crap.........

I'd recommend an Echo CS-400. They are a good value and start and run easy for a homeowner saw. If the guy had anything that the 400 couldn't handle there is probably a friend with a MS461 that would enjoy helping him for a little while!

    No Spill Jill my butt...........

You'd think that for the price they ask that the Stihl can would have flippy caps at least!

Don't ask how I know, but you can get the cap crossed up on the threads causing a leak. I bought four of them for my Sons in Law for Christmas presents and they rave about them. My wife snorted when she saw the gas cans for gifts, but she changed her tune when she heard the guys talking them up!

    Dolmar.. Epoxy in the carb??

Mine had an aluminum sleeve over the H screw and they filled it with a white epoxy. Just pick out the epoxy and adjust as needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

575xp on my bench. A few questions

I have a 576 tore apart with the clutch side bearing ruined. The flywheel side bearing stayed on the crank and the stuffers make it more difficult to remove it. Dealer uses a split bearing puller. I'm checking HF for one today. The discussion here is really helpful. Sent from my iPhone...

The "rule" up in WI was to usually figure 1 man per 50 milking. As far as I was concerned it was a lot fewer than that. I was the happiest teenager around when the cows went down the road, yet Dad still kept the machinery. I sold dairy feeds for 20 yrs. and am still tied to farming.........I...

That's a Case VAC with 26hp. I learned to drive on one like that. In my experience with that load and those cleats on the tires, he wasn't just showing off. You could easily get the front end up with those. Sometimes to your peril! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stihl ms250 clutch damage

Looks to me that the case and oil passages are gone. Especially around the 5 ' oclock position of the clutch area. I had one just like this and tried JB weld over the holes in the oil passage. No luck. These saws do not put out much oil anyway and even a small leak in the passageway will...

    What did this 576XP ingest?

I found the problem. The clutch side bearing melted it's plastic retainer. Some of it melted to the crank stuffer and the rest worked it's way out. I'm lucky the saw lost it's compression before the rest of the bearing started to migrate. Everything has a nice coat of oil even to the point...
