    Buckin Billy Ray

Yes he does, I have seen him around a few times, seems to love what he is doing. I buy all my chainsaw stuff from Walker's too, they are a great saw shop, obviously very knowledgeable and good people too!

Billy lives 10 minutes from me, some great vids of west coast tree work. Especially the 32" bar on a walkerized 372!!!

    550xp stalls

Glad to hear that, does your saw have the EL46 carb??

    550xp stalls

I just sold a 550XP because I bought a 562XPW. The 550 was bought spring 2014, and I never had the air filter or its housing ever look like that!! I would agree with Jim, take it to the dealer.

    New saw!!

    I always run 35:1 or 40:1.

    New saw!!

I mixed my fuel 35:1 with Belray H1R, and 91 Octane E-free. I think with these auto tune saws they use less fuel, which equals less oil going through motor. These machines are high rpm'ers in the cut, and I think 50:1 may be some of the reason for the crank bearing failures etc. It's curious...

    New saw!!

Thanks, have fun with your new saw too!! I was very pleased with how it ran, snappy, no hesitation off idle, smooth as hell. I would say it burnt half the fuel my Simonized 372 XPW would have. Cut a dozen 20" cookies, then a half cord of wood, still had over 1/2 tank of fuel. Saw started one...

    New saw!!

Broke the new saw in today. Ran fantastic, cut 12 cookies in a 20" Douglas Fir to get it tuned in. Then proceeded to fill the truck with it!!! It has a big power advantage over the 550XP in the bigger wood for sure, and still not too heavy. I really like the saw, very smooth cutting, and the AV...

    New saw!!

I don't think it has ever been -25C on record where I live. We do get lots of cold damp days though, and the moisture in the air makes it feel a lot colder. The heated grips seem like a nice bonus feature to have, just in case. I think the retail on the standard xp is $1029 here and the heated...

    New saw!!

-15C doesn't happen to often here.. And I sure ain't cuttin wood in those temps, more like sitting by my wood stove, lol.

    New saw!!

Ya, I guess I do. Not sure how much I need the heated handles, but for the price, who cares!!

    New saw!!

I just found a brand new 2015 Husqvarna 562XPGW for $700!!! Pretty great price here in Canada, and never even had fuel in it yet!!! I am pretty stoked!

    Husqvarna 390 & 395???

Ya I saw a 395 at Walker's, same price as the 372 they had. No word on the 572, or whatever they are calling it??? Not that I really need one, already had Simon build me a 372. I cut up a nice fir with it the other day,and cut the top with the 550. The 550 seemed really slow after running the 372.

    Husqvarna 390 & 395???

That makes sense, gotta update em sometimes. I wonder when the 572 update is coming!!??

A trio of original beautiful 372XPs

I think you have a 372 fetish,( not such a bad thing), and I hope you cleaned up the sawdust for your mom!!!

    Are ported saws overrated

I have run stock saws for 25 years(50,550, 272,288, 372, 390 394, 395, 2100). I got my first "worked" saw from Simon last spring, and I have 20-25 tanks through it now. Here is my take on ported saws. They will run with a saw size up in a lighter handier saw. My 372 will cut with a stock 390...
