    Considering Dodge 1500 Eco-diesel

Yeah, you're right on the super duty's. It'd maybe be alright in a 250, but that be it. It's an impressive little motor though. I haven't heard much, haven't looked either, as to longevity. My needs changed from an everyday driver/hunting rig that had to sometimes tow a bobcat to a wood...

    Considering Dodge 1500 Eco-diesel

You're absolutely correct on the mpg. Both of mine did really well empty, below 65mph, if you don't have a heavy foot. My foot is pretty heavy ;). After that any dreams of sipping fuel are gone. On the power side 3.5 eco will run circles around the 5.4 any day. To be fair a 6sp tranny is a...

    Considering Dodge 1500 Eco-diesel

I had 2010 & 2012 F150 ecoboosts. Absolutely loved them. I miss them actually. If they put that in a F250 I'd buy another.

Considering a 550xp, are the new ones "fixed"?

I'm moving away from putting the 20" on a 550. I have a 371 that I use for my general purpose, and was looking for something lighter for small trees & little stuff. I was leaning towards a 562, but that weighs almost as much as my 371. So now I'm thinking 550 with a 16" or 18". I'll leave...

I hadn't consider that. Might be a better option. I could reuse my 20" bar. Thanks!

Considering a 550xp, are the new ones "fixed"?

That's the other one I'm looking at. Same questions with the m-tronic, though someone mentioned you can still get a 261 with out it.

Lol.. I do have a dodge with 12v Cummins in it. That's about as old school as it gets.

Considering a 550xp, are the new ones "fixed"?

Thanks Brent! That's good info. I run a 3/8 20" on my 371xp. My thought was to run 20" on the 550 so I can use my existing chains. I'll be interested to hear how that works out for you. Then I can leave the 36" on the 371. I'm not a pro. I just cut a lot of firewood. My current backup saw is a...

Considering a 550xp, are the new ones "fixed"?

I have a 371xp and love it. Great saw. Now I'm looking to buy something a little lighter. I was pretty stoked about the 550xp until I started reading reviews......not pretty. I've been digging through the forums reading about auto tune issues. Having a certain start up sequence that must be...

    Price for Used Husqvarna 371XP

Thanks Thanks everyone. I'm not exactly sure about the year, and he probably isn't either. I don't have the serial either. I was suprised when he told me it was a 2000 because when I saw it I thought it was about 2 years old. Any way, I told him I'd take it. I'm looking forward to giving it...

    Price for Used Husqvarna 371XP

I'm thinking about buying this 371XP from a friend of mine. It's a 2000 with a 20" bar. As far as I know it's a stock saw with no mods. I used it once last year and the saw is in awesome shape. He wants $250 for it and that seems like a pretty decent deal to me, but I wanted to see what you...

    Question about a Bar

New bar on the way Just wanted to say "Thanks" again to everyone who helped me out here. I just ordered a 36" Oregon Power Match bar from Bailey's and I can't wait to see how the old Partner handles it ;) -Scott

    Question about a Bar

Success I just got a reply from Bailey's that the large Husky mount (HU) will work. That is the D009 correct? They have one at 32" which should be fine. Thanks Four Paws for the info on the rebadge under the Mcculloch name. That will help me find parts in the future. Scott

    Question about a Bar

Thanks Hey guys, I just wanted to say thanks for the welcome and all of the suggestions! Oregon said 20" was as big as they had and I just got an email off to Bailey's, so I'll see what they say. If they don't have anything I'll let you know Bill. Thanks for the offer. Otherwise I know...

    Question about a Bar

I have an old Partner P100 that I like to use when cutting up larger trees for firewood. The problem is that last year the sproket in the end of the bar gave out and the largest replacement bar I could find was 20". I've sorta been on the hunt for a 32" or 36" bar ever since and I was hoping...
