Archer Saw chain, made in Australia

I’ve used lots of different brands and I like Archer chains and I’ve seen come from others who have used them and they also liked them. They’re cheap enough to just buy one and see for yourself.

    Husqvarna 592xp Mega Thread

Thanks for that information but I’ll use the saw for felling and bucking only, I guess I’ll use it for awhile and see how it performs before I decide if I’ll get it ported or not. I do like the 562 I had done but there’s so much compression that even with the decompression button pressed in it’s...

His name is Roger Losiniecki and he’s in Kingsford MI. I have his contact info if someone’s interested in a port for a reasonable price.

    Husqvarna 592xp Mega Thread

I have the first generation 562XP, ported by Tree Monkey and I like it so I figured I’ll like the bigger brother of it too and I’m sure I’ll get it ported too. I know a guy who’s been working on saws for decades in the U.P. that ports saws for $200.

    Husqvarna 592xp Mega Thread

I ordered a 592XP with a 32" ToughLite bar and chain for $1300 on sale from Bailey’s, I thought it was a good price.

Archer Saw chain, made in Australia

Yeah I’m impressed on the Archer chains. I’m almost done bucking up the truckload of red oak I bought last fall but didn’t start cutting it until this summer and it’s all been done with Archer chain. Good chains and you can’t beat the prices.

Archer Saw chain, made in Australia

I bought 6 loops of 16" .325 66DL .50 FC Archer chain for my new 543XP for $51 shipped on eBay and it’s been doing good for me so far. I’ve been cutting up a truckload of red oak with the chainsaw and chain for sometime now. Id but more of it at that price. Edit: now I see that buying a roll...

    Fire outlook towers

There’s quite a few of them up here in the forests of NW Wisconsin. Years ago you could climb the stairs and sit just under the penthouse but they fenced them in some time ago. Issues with liability I’m sure.

    Mastermind Meets the 562XP

Well, I'm only an hour and change from Tree Monkey here in Wisconsin. I'm not sure if he would mod a 562 though.. I had him do a woods port and Tilly carb changeout on my 390xp this last spring and I love it! But with that being my only saw it got heavy to use for every little thing. And so the...

    Mastermind Meets the 562XP

That's pretty awesome for a 60cc saw! What's meant by a pop up piston. My saw is the latest revision, 2014.

    Mastermind Meets the 562XP

Too bad most of the images are gone from this thread. I just bought a 562XP and would like to learn more about it and wether a mod is worth it or not. Many say the saw is good to go with surprising power stock.

Trying To Keep Our Saws Quieter

My saw exhausts forward and it deflects the noise back to me when bucking. I find that wearing ear plugs protects my hearing and it makes the job easier to do for any length of time.

Who needs one: Husqvarna XP Embossed Sticker

I've seen new covers with the Xp decal on eBay. I'll have to do without and save the money for my Tree Monkey port job on the 390.

I PM'd him but it's been almost 4 years since the thread was started so I'm not holding my breath on the decals. Message número uno!!
