    Husqvarna 445 broke casing

The guy who gave it to me never does any thing wrong. But I wouldn't be surprised. Nice present since he knows I like to mess with them.

    Husqvarna 445 broke casing

Not sure what happened. The plastic is broke there and in the clutch brake housing. Only has a few hours on it. It is a 2011 but seems to have been built cheaper than my 346xp. I will try some of the suggestions. Thank you.

    Husqvarna 445 broke casing

Got a 455 with a broke case by the lower right corner where the spring attaches and the chain throw off guard is at. Saw only has a few hours on it but I don't have receipt for Lowes. It was a gift last Christmas. Any ides on how to fix it? Thank you.

i use diesel to clean a lot of parts as it leaves a little oil behind. Going to try some purple power.

    Gasolene and additives

Wanted to mention that Walmart is selling a canned 2 stroke by the quart for around $5.00

    Gasolene and additives

I was just given a Husqvarna 346xp that was left outside for awhile. It was made in 1999 according to the date stamp. It had water in the gas tank. I flushed it out and put in some new ethanol free gas. Had to prime it a little but got it going with some help from a co worker. Nice running saw...

What was the first chainsaw you ran?

As addictions go - that's a good one. I never quite got the fishing bug but I sure enjoy seeing a tree land right where you want it and the pleasure of knowing that it was done safely.

    dissecting an earthquake chainsaw

How exactly do you modify the exhaust. I get the impression you drill or widen the muffler. Or are you working on the ports. Just starting on doing my own work. Thank you.

What was the first chainsaw you ran?

First one was a McCulloch Eager Beaver to do some clean up in early 90's. Then around 2010 I got a poulan 4218. After that a ms290 to cut in wy and ar.

    Gasolene and additives

I sure appreciate the advice. I'm getting some mechanic in a bottle and ethanol treatment at Walmart today. They had an online offer that delivered to store. I have found a gas station that sells 91 octane that is ethanol free. Not a real busy place by the highway but they do pretty good...

    Gasolene and additives

I wanted to start a discussion on what is the best gas and additives to use. I try to get premium gas but it is very hard to get anything without added ethanol. I know I'm not the only one who has that problem. And how do we know for sure what we are getting and how fresh. I see that there is an...

    Racing/High Octane/Aviation Fuel in Chainsaws?

I would like to hear more on additives like mechanic in a bottle. We can't always choose what gas we can buy and can we always trust that the premium is what they say it is. I agree with getting the freshest gas. But what additives are best to keep it going? What about the ethanol treatments? Do...

    Companies standing behind their products

Strongest splitter is the one with triangle head that is welded to bar but it sure gets heavy after a while. I made a tire/splitter block and it saves the handle and picking up pieces. Saw it on youtube. I can split a half dozen pieces just circling the splitter block and don't have to bend...

    Racing/High Octane/Aviation Fuel in Chainsaws?

What about white gas. Like Coleman in a gallon can. Someone told me it works good in lawnmowers and is more pure.
