    Dang squirrels! Help!

Good kitty, make sure to buy it some treats next time you're in town. It's got the right idea. Maybe have it visit with the other pets and have a training session.

    Dang squirrels! Help!

Rifle or shotgun works. Have to wonder about the effectiveness of feeding the pets if you are overrun with woodchucks...:nofunny: Maybe time to recruit some new effective pets..

    I broke tractor...

Sounds like you got most of the bugs worked out of it already. Put a set of non foulers on the spark plugs and go to 40 or 50 wt oil. I would put a counterweight on the 3 point to take some weight off the front axle. The rear wheel bearing are a lot stronger than the front spindle. A new spindle...

    I broke tractor...

Looks like a MF tractor. Known for weak spindles. With a loader on front they take a beating. I think you can get a new spindle on line for about 125.00. I put one in for a guy about a month ago.

    Another tree id please

I've looked at pictures of all the suggestions and I'm thinking black cherry now. Bark is a little off but not near as much as trying to claim it as an elm. If I could have seen a picture of the entire tree from a distance I could have id'd it if it was a black cherry. See a lot of those in the...

    Another tree id please

I'm not going to pretend I know if it is or isn't birch. We don' t have that many in Iowa. River birch is all I'm familiar with. I have cut a lot of hackberry and have taught the Scouts tree id and that's a prominent one in eastern Iowa. The tree the op posted a pick of is not hackberry.

    Another tree id please

Definitely not hackberry. Totally wrong bark.

    Name that tree!

Pics of the lower trunk don't look as I remember them here in Iowa but it may be a younger tree. Or the difference in the growing area. The pics of the upper branches are starting to show the mottling. The leaves appear larger than a maple which is characteristic of a sycamore.

    Name that tree!

    I'm inclined to say.... sycamore.....

Propane now 99 cents / gallon

Okay, my brain fart.:oops: I see what I didn't see before, pounds, not gallons. I should know better, I have a few of them also. Still that is cheap living, 5 tanks a year even at 4.50 a gal. 150.00 for fuel for the year, not bad.

Propane now 99 cents / gallon

Okay, I missed something, What's 4.50 a gallon? My comment to Gypo was the fact he can go all year on about 150.00. That's cheap living. Just making an observation.....:)

    Best laid plans and HUA

We shouldn't be picking on Harry, anyone who has done any amount of felling, cutting or stacking has at some point earned a HUA award. Whether it was awarded or not we still earned it. If you are like me and mostly cut alone no one else see's it. Of course that doesn't mean it did not happen. :D

Of course we don't really know if that's Harry, do we....

Propane now 99 cents / gallon

Wow, that's cheap living Gypo.... I just ordered my summer fill at .99 also. Will need about 450 gallons for the next 12 months. Hot water heater in the summer and stove. Furnace didn't run all last winter that I know of. Cheapest I can remember for more than 10 years.....

    Best laid plans and HUA

I'm not sure the mods would allow a picture of Harry's head up his a$$. The tree laying where it shouldn't be would probably be allowed. :D

    Interesting Article on Emissions

Wow, just read the comments...finally able to. It's no wonder this country is in the shape it's in. The propaganda machine is humming right along. Looks like if you have a PHD behind your name or some kind of a title, you can say anything and the whole left side of this country will believe you...

    Interesting Article on Emissions

The BSA has been added to the terror list. In fact the gubmint transplanted a new Chief Executive that is slowly changing the beliefs of those more moderate scouters to accept the gay and homosexual community into the flock. Consequently enrollment has fallen off and numbers are in decline. They...
