    Heads up! Stolen saws

They did share the models but no serial#’s. All ms261’s and one ms260, varying bar lengths of 18 and 20” I would also take a guess that they look like pretty gently used saws. These guys do a lot more hand tool work than chainsawing.

    Heads up! Stolen saws

Yeah it happens in VT, the interstates are a drug superhighway from Boston and NYC/surrounding city areas...drugs come north, saws probably went south. I don’t know the models, details etc. just going off what they shared, they had a picture of the orange saw cases that looked like what come...

    Heads up! Stolen saws

Just wanted to put this out there- the Green mountain club (GMC) in Vermont had 8 chainsaws and 2 generators stolen from a tool shed over the weekend. The GMC is caretakers for hiking trails and shelters in Vermont and do a lot on the Long trail and the VT Appalachian trail section. I’m...

What’s a good brand of forestry boots

I got a pair of the haix protector primes, and I gotta say, I will never buy another pair of traditional leather logger boots. The haix are so comfortable, waterproofing holds up better, fit good, wear good, etc etc. definitely would recommend. Windy ridge Corp in New Hampshire has had the best...

    Loggers use Husqvarna?

The majority of loggers and the forest products industry as a whole use mechanical harvesters, either hotsaw feller bunchers or harvesters. Honestly there is a small percentage still using chainsaws to manually fell timber. Exceptions being a few small guys and places where timber is just too...

Same bar/chain on 2 different husky saws

Finding an old 362xp clutch side case half is basically your only option to run both k095 bars. I’d run a 20” on both then chains would swap at least.

346xp and Echo cs500p Northern VT

We had two saws stolen from our trailer in Eden VT this week. The saws are an Echo cs500p with a nearly new 20" oregon pro lite bar, and a Husqvarna 346xp set up with a 16" 3\8 bar and nearly new Stihl RS chain. The 346xp had a crack in the top cover, a piece missing from the killswitch and a...

Want to Trade Maxi brush saw blades

5 brand new, never installed maxi cutter style brush saw blades for sale. These are the professional version that thinning and clearing contractors use on their big clearing saws. Fast cutting and easy to sharpen with a chainsaw file. Not many sawshops carry these, they have the "scarlett" style...

Want to Trade For a forestry clearing saw 385xp or other pro huskys

Thanks Bill but I think I'm gonna hold out for one of the bigger 50cc saws. May just have to sell a few saws and buy a new one...

Want to Trade For a forestry clearing saw 385xp or other pro huskys

I'm looking to get a clearing saw. I don't want one of the glorified weed trimmers with a blade or mid range brush saws, I'm talking the 50cc+ big forestry clearing saws they make- Stihl FS550\560, Husqvarna 555fx, you get the picture. Needing some work is ok. Willing to trade about any saw in...

    800p muffler

If you muffler mod a milling saw, design the mod carefully so exhaust doesn't hit the mill. That actually throws alot of heat back on the saw (and you). Nearly all of my saws are muffler modded, except my 395xp milling saw. Deflect it down and away from you and the mill. Maybe a long tube. Or...

If you had to choose 1 saw from these

I'd keep the 266 and sell the two stihls. Those will fetch the most money and the 266 will run a 24" occasionally just fine. Just my husqvarna biased opinion.

Possible problems with (.375" x .058") 68 Drive Links bars

I don't know about the bar adapters, but a 3\8 sprocket is for all 3\8 chain, gauge is irrelevant to sprockets. Cost of .058 chain, shouldn't be any more than other chain, just order a loop for every bar then you're all set for flipping purposes.

362xp with a 372 top end stud mounts....

You got options. They have longer small mount bars available. It would make the most sense to me to just buy a longer small mount bar. You can get a 28" powermatch bar in the small mount, if you need something longer than that, you have a Stihl 066 right?

362xp with a 372 top end stud mounts....

I'm pretty sure the clutch side case half would need to be changed to get the D009 mount. You'd also need a new clutch cover. I'm not positive but I thought there was a 28" bar in K095 available. I'm sure there are 24".
