Want to Buy Carlton 4012 Blade attachment

I asked Carlton about that a couple years ago when shopping for a 4012. At the time, they could have provided one with the purchase of a new machine. And maybe they would sell one now. I was told it is HEAVY and a pain to slip on and off. I ended up with a used 4012 with the hydraulic blade...

    Carlton 175HP John Deere

This looks like it. So HP is correct, but will not fit through a 36" gate. Still a beast.

    Carlton 175HP John Deere

Ever seen one of these before? 175HP on what looks like a 7015 undercarriage? Looks like a beast if the power number is accurate.

Sold 2013 Carlton SP7015 for sale

Why did you decide to get a track machine? I run a wheeled 4012 and the ground speed is fantastic to get between stumps. Aren't the tracks a lot slower?

big oak, 219'around, neighbors want to cut it down, has some fungus at base/WE LOVE THIS TREE

I don't know about improving the health of the tree, but if the tree is on your property and you want to keep it, no one can force you to cut it down. The neighbor could send you a certified letter advising you of the danger to their home and then if their home were ever damaged by the tree...

    Business Cards

I used Staples. $10 for 500. I designed and ordered them online and they were ready for pickup in store the next day.

Proud owner of a 4012 44hp grinder and am looking for all the tips and tricks!

If I remember correctly, my 2008 33hp kubota weighed in at 2160 lbs. I'd be interested in the actual weight of a 7015 if anyone has weighed one. This is from the manual:

TSC CL 22Ton vs DHT 22Ton Splitter

Countyline 22s were on clearance here for 899 right next to a new 25 ton for 949. Looks like a design change. If you want a Countyline 22, you may need to act fast.

    1) My polychain also favors away from the cutter wheel and it seems there is no normal adjustment to center it (sprockets are aligned). I'd be interested in more input on that. 2) Mine take 30 pumps to get any grease to purge and the cutter bearing opposite the polychain is always the dirtiest...

Proud owner of a 4012 44hp grinder and am looking for all the tips and tricks!

I have a wireless 4WD 4012 and am getting stuck on chip piles. If one side of the machine loses traction (or I put one side at a time in the air) the wheels on that side spin, but the wheels on the ground do nothing. And when driving in low speed, it is really jerky, especially on pavement or...

Has anyone tried to switch to a sealed bearing on these machines? Surely there's a comparable sealed bearing available? Do any of the other manufacturers use a different type of bearing?

I've changed my opinion on the back fill blade and now use it regularly. Here's a short video of mine in use:

Does this look like 7 cord (log length) to you? Or did I get gypped?

I'd say only 4-5 cord there. Plus, it looks like yard trees and a pain to process.

The blade just slips on and off the front, but is probably pretty heavy.

You can see this one on a 7015. And this one.

Yeah, hydraulic. I think you can buy one directly from Carlton that slips on the front.

Comparison of Carlton 4012 grinders: 35hp gas vs 44hp diesel

It seems strange that Carlton would remove all mention of an available Kubota engine from their website and current literature on the website for the 5014.
