Want to Sell Wright 141A (Poulan 401A)

That guy has not signed in since he posted on Sunday. Nice saw! I recognize the new recoil cover screws and might know a guy that has a whole bag of them if anyone needs any.;)

You may have had an actual 401A from looking at a post that you did back in 2011. https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/poulan-401-info.150893/

Poulan also did the 401A. I have the Wright 141A (Poulan 401A) listed in the ad link below. Dave Smith @Definitive Dave has the saw now. He had it on his GTG for sale list a while back so might still be available. It's a really clean saw...

Thanks. I put the 7 on. Mine is the 245sa which came with rim set up and roller nose bar. I have the rims to change pitch. I was just surprised to see a .325 9 pin rim. The 245 is a low rpm saw with loads or torque. I'll see how it does with the 7 the try the 8 for comparison. It will...

245 question. So I pull the clutch to convert from the barracuda chain to 3/8 and find a 9 pin 325 rim. I don't think this saw was messed with and think it might be the original rim. A 3/8 8 pin is the exact same size as the 325 9. 7 pin is much smaller. What is supposed to be on...

What's wrong with it? It still has one tooth!

This 245sa with the powersharp set up was a cool idea back in the day. Unfortunately the chain becomes useless and a wall hanger if the stone is bad. That's where I'm at right now. On a good note the barracuda chain is .325 78 dl, roller nose bar and rim setup which makes me think it should...

That is sooo awesome! Keep note of that spot. There is a good chance that they will be there next year. Western PA season is the end of April beginning of May all dependent on the temperatures. I've had no luck with morels but good luck with chanterelles. I found a couple really nice...

I have to tell you again how much I like the 3300 frame saws! They run great and are easy to work on. Mine gave me trouble over the weekend. Bog on throttle- knew it was a fuel issue. Usually not the carb but impulse line. So I grab the saw after work reach in with a screw driver and the...

First time I actually had the 245 out. No matter what I did with carb adjustments could not make cut - instabog as soon as it hit wood. Even for idle 1 turn out was not even close to what it needed. When I first got it I had it running with in 15 minutes and thought I got lucky with not...

Great score!!! That pretty much deserves a You Suck! :) Someone is going to have to tell me about a big bore on a 5400. Is that a hybrid? P/C from another saw brand? Bored replated cylinder with a larger piston?

Yellow tape in the middle of the handle? I went back through old posts and forums trying to figure out what might be unique. Could be the pipe shape also.

SA stands for "Super Automatic" They added the S with the powersharp setup with barracuda chain. A is for the "automatic" oiler. Here's a pic of the one that I picked up in the fall. Will try to get itr in wood this weekend and post a vid. I have not been around here is a while. It's...
