Got state forest choca with eucs less than 100mtrs from the house. Bad day and fire in the canopy you'd be lucky. There's a doco I saw 3 years ago on the Black Saturday fires on SBS or ABC. Brilliant doco showing the human cost and stories from those involved, all had lost at least one...

We had a Crossman pump action...with a.built in MAG to take the BBs. Itd take 40 pumps, mounted a scope on it and I could hit the bolt heads on the swings in the front yard at 60 yards

My brother and I shot out every glass isolator on the powerlines within a 100mtrs of our house.. Neighbour across the road used to call the coppers every time he heard gun shots, but not once did they come to our place, always tore past at high speed and head up past our place...must have been a...

I've tried these with mixed success. On their own they haven't worked, but with nest removal they have sort of worked, they haven't come back into the same area....starlings are the main problem. Best results were shooting them.....nothing works as well as that. Just use appropriate shot so...

Its legal here in Gippsland VIC. They are protected in every other part of the country except here. I looked into this problem for months, no issue.

Not great re the electrics in those saws hey. The few guys I've spoken too are running Huskies cause of a few early problems with the Stihls, I think it was battery related though and probably sorted by now.

Don't feel bad, although Stihl seem to lag a big behind Husky in that area. For climbing and general stuff around the burbs, the battery saws seem to be the go mostly now for convenience as well as enviro benefits. Stuff all noise, no spills, no emissions, etc..

Those foxes in Tassie is an interesting one. Some prick who couldnt get a town planning through to turn his farm into surfers paradise decided to stick it up the government and import foxes via his car boot on the ferry. They caught the prick, even still had the foxes hair in the back of his...

Was $1.49 for your standard truck diesel, so $1.42 to $1.45 with discount. That was a week ago. No idea what'll be this week in Gippsland VIC.

That's a nice crane truck that one. If only I could take one of those into the forests.....hmm. Reckon I could do 3 seasons in a day, easy. Getting caught with that though I think I'd be in a bit of strife.

You've filed the tops of your rakers flat, round off more, no lower though. Chain looks good to me though, better than all of mine. Not sure about the bar though, is it nice and flat with no burrs?

Tighten chain till you can't turn it anymore by hand and slowly back it off till you can turn it again. Max oil flow. Try now.

Talon XP Pro is the solution. They're the wax blocks. Only available to certified pest controllers. Have a 10kg sealed tub here I could send you but postage would be a killer I reckon.

Kiwi Jobs like that cash only, and run. They come at the home owner and the first thing he will do is say, "I engaged Kiwi to do the work, he is an expert, and he said to do it like this....." Food for thought
