Inside Wood Gasification boiler w/1000 gallons thermal storage

Between you and I, I'm thinking the purpose for this system is for results, not feel good, reasons. If I'm wrong the OP will set me straight. Not at all worried if you feel offended.

    Boiler Pressure and Temp

Just short of 1000 gals. Heat it top to bottom @ 185'. That is alot of stored heat. How many gals. are in your system? The "cold" water that is constantly being mixed with the heated supply water, is what ever was not extracted from my emmiters. So, if I only need 100' water to supply demand...

    Boiler Pressure and Temp

Yes, mixing the 'cooler' return water. 140' is the hottest and 95' is the coldest, that is when the propane boiler takes over.

    Boiler Pressure and Temp

The cool part is that I have a motorized mixing valve, that constantly mixes water temp, for my heating zones, depending on the outdoor temps.

    Boiler Pressure and Temp

Pressurized at about 12 psi, on the low side. Boiler will heat up to 200'f. With approximately 950 gals. Of thermo storage, I let it run for 8 plus hours, then "coast" for a day or more. Kinda like this photo.

Probably, keeping it from rusting. You can trust, if you're water jacket is 212 or more, your making steam. My system is pressurized, alot different, in that respect. I'll give a wild ass guess.... Plugged heat exchanger?

Magnetic thermo on chimney. Your water jacket should not exceed 212 deg. At that point, your making steam.. in a unpressurerized system.

    Near tragedy...

Wow, your insurance company let you do that? I'm hoping your rebuild will last till the stove rusts out. Be safe!
