Best places on the websites and forums to do new car research?

I actually didn't end up purchasing a car. Someone gave me a 2007 Ford Taurus. It had about 170,000 miles on it but it was free. I have put the money that I didn't have to spend of purchasing the car into maintenance and repair. I did have to have the transmission rebuilt at around 180,000...

    Shindaiwa 802 Blower

Great buy!!! I think I paid $180 for mine from a pawn shop. I modded the muffler and removed the carb screw limiters. I ordered a new chinese carb but the old one still had diaphrams that were in great shape. I did change the fuel line and filters. The fuel tank grommet was a pain though...

Best places on the websites and forums to do new car research?

I am looking at purchasing a new or certified preowned sedan. What are some of the best websites to look at for professional reviews? I know that there are forums for specific brands and, in some cases, specific models under that brand but I was hoping that there was somewhere I could talk to...

which Stihl trimmer for grass and brush clearing?

So, I was wrong and I will admit it. According to Stihl's website, the KM91r and KM131R weigh the same. Click on a the specifications tab on the page it shows both of them weighing in at 9.7 pounds. https://www.stihlusa.com/products/multi-task-tools/professional-kombisystem/km131r/...

which Stihl trimmer for grass and brush clearing?

Honestly, the km90 will probably do what you are wanting. I don't have any firsthand experience the 90 but I own a km-130. It is really powerful but too powerful to do regular lawn maintainance. And the 130 is quite heavy to boot. If you have any doubt, you could get the 110 but I think you...

    FS240 vs. FS310?

If I recall correctly, the FS310 is just a dolled up FS130. It may have more antivibe, I am not sure. I have an FS240 and it does get the job done but is no barn burner when it comes to power vs the 130. If I had it to do over, I might get the 130 instead.

    STIHL FS 91 GRASS BLADE

Stratcher tooth would work but they are very hard to resharpen. I would pick a chisel tooth blade myself, since it can be resharpened. But, I guess the scratcher tooth would work better.

Free-to-me 2007 Ford Taurus check engine light.

I also saw this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PE49472-FRONT-FLEX-PIPE-MAIN-CATALYTIC-CONVERTER-FITS-2000-2007-FORD-TAURUS-3-0L-/281668335033?hash=item4194bdb5b9:g:-mEAAOSwT6pVmbEV&rmvSB=true Probably incredibly cheap inside but the price is right, lol! I think I am going to order a cheap scanner...

Free-to-me 2007 Ford Taurus check engine light.

Took it back to autozone to get the sparkplugs and they actually gave me a code: P0420. "Catalyst sysmtem efficiency bank 1 below threshold". I am doing some reading and I see that a misfire can destroy the cat internally. Potentially, I would assume that could block the cat. The car had a...

Free-to-me 2007 Ford Taurus check engine light.

OK, it said I need the two sensors and the cat. I just don't want the cat to get plugged and kill the engine. I was thinking of getting one of the blue tooth dongles that plugs into the OBDII port and an app for my android tablet.

Free-to-me 2007 Ford Taurus check engine light.

So someone gave me a 2007 Ford Taurus and I was taking it to a mechanic to have the tires changed when the check engine light came on. I had them scan it and they said it was a Bank 1 something or another code. Oxygen sensor or cat code but I didn't get the actual code and will have to try to...

    About that name...

When I came to this site, I knew nothing about saws. Now I have 4 saws, 5 trimmers and 3 blowers. Still don't know that much about using saws.

Where to order Ryobi check valve / Duckbill

You can order the whole carb: http://www.partstree.com/parts/ryobi/parts/309368003/ Or if you know what make and model the carb is, we might be able to source parts directly from the carb maker. Ryobi doesn't offer the parts for the carb on the diagrams for your weedeater.

    Help choosing Stihl Kombi

It couldn't hurt to try pulling the bar up and then tightening the nut. I do it on my pole saw.

    Pole saw recommendation and review

Home depot sometimes sells used echo power pruners. I would recommend one of those. Otherwise, the Stihl 4-mix have THE POWER!

    Help choosing Stihl Kombi

Yes, I have the old style and it has been awesome on my KM-130. Cuts like a dream. All I have done to it is sharpen the chain and knock down the rakers like I do to all my new chains.

    Shindaiwa S25 Carburetor

I am not following you. I rebuilt my T25, same as you S25, carb and I don't think you are talking about the metering needle. The metering needle is on the bottom of the carb and should control fuel to the main jet with the fule coming from the fuel pump on the back, then the main jet in the...
